I mentioned the same in my video yesterday. As I Pioneer/Rekorbox user this is an exciting time. I know first hand the stem separation will improve RB. You are correct about the long game. Serato will be fully integrated into the Pioneer DJ ego system and that will be a rap.

I sold off my numark platinum FX 6 months ago to buy the DDJ FLX4 so I had rekordbox and no monthly sub that I had with Serato lol. Looking forward to see better stems and other serato features in rekordbox.

I know I’m coming to this video late but just seeing it I’m just surprised how people really think Serato was dying when I don’t know about you but damn near every DJ I see in the real world is using Serato as their main or only way of DJing. Even when I see DJs using CDJs they’re using Serato. The others are using Rekordbox with USBs I barely even see guys using the Rekordbox performance mode. I know you’re explaining this from a business standpoint but I think it would be horrible business decision to get of the product that MORE PEOPLE WAS USING. If anything they’ll get rid of both a just create something new and I still think it would be in their best interest to keep the Serato name it’s a trusted brand. Just my 2 cents on the topic

When u talk about control that’s what this is and the millions that they will get off subscription base software it’s headed in that direction I will use what I have till it quits if they go that way I’m not paying I already paid for a 2 licensed versions No More .

I think we'll see Pioneer stopping Rekordbox updates and pushing (programming) resources towards the Serato brand name.
