6:37 - Custom artwork on the jog wheels: - Press and hold MENU to get to UTILITY - Scroll down to “Image on jog wheel” it’s the last option under the DECK section From there… I’m not sure what to do yet. I assume you need to have your custom artwork saved on your flash drive or whatever is plugged into the USB port.

I can't for the life of me figure out why they would get rid of low cut echo and add pitch or vinyl brake to the effects channel. Low cut echo seems much more useful than vinyl break, which can also be made with the job wheel, performance pads, or the play button. I also find it a bit wild that the beat jump feature on the performance pads only goes up to 8 beats instead of 16 (the typical length of a musical phrase). On my DDJ-800 I can remap the performance pads (or any button, really) to be more to my liking. My question is, can I remap the pitch effect to instead be low cut echo, or can I remap the beat jump buttons to be a 16 beat jump instead of 8 using rekordbox? Thanks!

Not sure David! Agree re low cut echo, and beat jump - although for the latter you can of course just tap the button twice.

Because my goal is to start playing in clubs so I want to be as familiar as possible on pioneer. I’m sure Denon is very similar but when I show up to a gig I’d like to be as comfortable as possible with the equipment. It’s a tough choice for me.

The mixer section on the Pioneer is much better. On my RX2, effects on the Pioneer sound much more professional and usable in a club environment. Cueing is better on the Pioneer. Plus, you can use Rekordbox and Serato with the Pioneer. I own both a Prime 2 and a RX2 and the latter is better built all around. The RX3 will just be better.

For custom artwork all you have to do is put a 800x800 jpeg on to your usb. Just go in to your usb and drop it in there.

Firstly, a huge thank you for your videos! They’re very helpful. I’ve got multiple questions at this stage. The one with the biggest weight: one of the most important reasons for me to upgrade (I have a RX at this moment) would be the possibility to play/mix FLAC-files. Did you test this? Does it work well? With loading times etc.?

I am a mobile Dj and i play in different cafe-bars every day. I have prepared my library in rekordbox and i am thinking to buy the xdj-rx3 . I only have a dilemma. Is it to heavy for a daily mobile use ? Obviously is not too heavy if you have 2-3 gigs/month but what about a daily use? What do you think? p.s. : The xdj-rr is lightweight but seems to my eyes like a toy, for entry level Djs and not for professionals.

Hi, I have been using DDJ-1000SRT for almost 2 years and it is a fantastic set. I came from SL1200 - CDJ900 - CDJ2000Nexus - DJM900 era. I'm an event DJ (no EDM and acid mixes) and merely beat match, cue point, drop and chop mix. Sometimes a little effects, and sometimes using Serato video SL for video too. I'm thinking of upgrading to the next level - XDJ-RX3, running around without a laptop. I have a few questions below. 1) For Serato, does this mean I can place all my Serato library into a USB with cue points intact (and ditch my laptop)? 2) Related to Q1 if Serato does not support USB, the songs in the USB uses Rekordbox to analyze and cue point markers, am I right? 3) By using USB (for Serato or Rekordbox), is there a way to search songs on the large screen instantaneously just like on a laptop "search" box? I have a 1TB library 4) Beat matching is what I mostly use. I see that the RX3 screen waveform is different from Serato (probably inherited from Rekordbox). How good is the waveform matching? Is it something to get used to or need an extra effort, in your opinion? 5) Smaller jog wheels touch sensitive compared to mechanical full size (1000SRT), has anyone commented if that works equally good? 6) I compared RX2 and RX3 with just a few bump up functions and added Serato support. Natively it is still built for Rekordbox (unlike Rev7). Am I correct to say that? 7) Would you say the RX3 a DJ life changer coming from a DDJ-1000SRT user? Hope that's not too overwhelming :). Thank you!

@@digitaldjtips If you try matching up the beats visually on the display, it seems as if they're out of sync, even if you're synced up properly. Only the current beat playing will be matched properly, but all the beats before / after that is slowly drifting away. Hard to explain, but that's how it is on the RX2.

How to get rid of Error 8603... Or any Error Code As I get often on my xdj rx3.. Simply the file or a track work absolutely fine when used it on the software mode.. But when I use the same file analysing in my usb flash drives I face an problem of Error Code and File format not Supported... Yes there is, it works with Pioneer DJ's Rekordbox software and there is a free version available that works with the RX3.

Can I get your advice? Here's my dilemma. Could/should I get Phase DJ for my Tech 1200? Should I get the Rane MK2, or Reloop 8000 Mk2? I'm also curious about the auxiliary on The Rx 3. Can you use it with a tablet or phone? Is there a way to cue it? Does Is it just come over channel 1 or 2 or how does it work? I'm confused about Serato Pro DJ. Serato Pro has a lot of capabilities like making cool mashups from what I've read. On the other hand I've not read anything about rekord box having such features. lol i had 2 sc5000m for 800 and sold them. denon may have better featuress but as many have said if ur ACTIVE DJ that gets on a regular then stick to what ull go find at a club. its like using android cause its cheapers faster but you have to use iphone at work lol makes no sense, price isnt everything. pioneer did a great job with making their gear Industry standard

Q1... I have some mp4 video files ripped off KZbin that plays as a music file on the DDJ-RB perfectly fine .... does the RX3 play them the same? as on the RX3 controller it doesn't say mp4. Q2...
