I got this set up too just a couple days ago. It just feels so natural. Beat juggling is a dream. The only part that through me off is when you instant double, the sticker won't be in the same place on both decks. So I have to hold the platter where I like the sticker to be, then when the main deck that's playing passes that sticker location, I hit instant double and then I can start my beat juggles. And then both decks have matching sticker locations.

i came from vinyl and when i first saw the mk1s with the mk 1 rane 72 i wanted them.It was the best set up for me as i started on turntables and i still have a massive record collection.This set up or mine with my Rane mixer is as close as one can get with a digital rig to that old school feel of turntables without time codes and needles.You will be moving a bigger rig but there is so much you can do with this .One tip if you have not done it yet you might want to update your computer as well when you can manage it so you can get the best out of this set up .

I appreciate you taking the time to make this video you have no idea what you have done for me I have been going back and forth trying to decide on the RANE 72 or the S-11 to go with a pair of RANE TWELVES I’ve seen a couple of DJ’s with the same setup recently but your video has help me make up my mind on what I which direction I want to go. I have worked my way up from a SB3 to SX3 to the SZ2 in just a year and my dream setup is the exact one that you just purchased so again I say thanks for making the video because I couldn’t get any response from other DJ’s to ask questions but now all my questions have been answered and I will be there with you bro when I get my own towards the end of this year of 2021... I just got the “competition” the RANE 72. I was always in both controllers and tables. I gotta say the S9 was going to be my first pick. (I always wanted one.) unfortunately a week ago, I was doing a gig and my mixars duo and all of my audio and power wires were stolen for my controller my laptop to mixer or controller wire RCA cables XLR cables speak on cables you name it I had it for any time I need to switch between certain gear. That series of unfortunate events led me to a local wholesaler who heard my story and wanted to help me out. Long story short it was S9 without a case or a Rane 72 with a beast of a case. Clearly for safety reasons I didn’t want to travel around with a mixer exposed. Messing with my new mixer and the pioneer S 11.... total game changer! I believe the S 11 has a better touchscreen set up in a better formal neat layout. But that particular wholesaler did not have that in stock. Are used to own a Rane 57 and a Rane 62. ironically I am a pioneer fan boy. But, I will say this can’t bear the sound of a Rane, in my opinion. I wish I would have state pioneer for one thing and one thing only........ the pleasingly aesthetic layout. The 72 is awesome. But, all of the knobs are basically the same size. If it wasn’t for the knobs having some different colors.... some! It would be impossible to just hop on and know what’s going on I actually have to read and make sure I’m grabbing the right stuff. But coming from such an older mixer to actually owning a mixer that’s worth four times the amount complete game changer I did my first gig last Monday with it and I sound like a newbie DJ lmao. But congrats on the new update enjoy it!

Just an fyi, from a fellow RBX user, I’ve heard if you go Rane w the S11 then using RBX VS serato is an even bigger deal. I believe RBX will be best w pioneer gear. Now I’ve only been watching and asking myself, just picked up my S11 now deciding Ranes or some nice xdjs

Jay i am on the fence with Rane one or two rane 12 MK2. I already have the following mixers DJM 900 nexus 2, DJM S9 and DJM S11. I have technic 1200, Roop 8000 and Audio Technica 1240. I enjoy turntables mixing more than CDJ, which I also have 2000 nexus 2 and Demon SC500. I Love the way Rane 12 look and I think they will last a long time. What don't you like about the Rane 2

Hi dj Jay book i just picked up this sane set up like a week ago I do run into issues here and there with the set up I lose connection from the laptop to the sm11 the waveforms disappeare the sing is still playing but thir the mixer and the ranes but the pionner s11 lose connection with the ranes so not sure what it is

@@DjJayBook got it, but what was it about the S11 made you choose it over the Rane 72... I am still struggling with the mixer. I love the idea of the 12’s, have not looked closely at all of the features of the mixers side by side.

@@CraigBuffington I got the S11 over the Rane mostly because if I pay that much, I want my mixer to come with some hardware fx in it. Plus the s11 screen has double the frame rate of the 72. But I think the 72 has better resolution.

I didnt care about fx and stuff when choosing between the 72 and the s11 , for that I got my launchpad x with 64 rgb pads and nearly endless layering for all sort of stuff. the S11 has the more intuitive layout going for it. Functions are printed mostly on the buttons and so are illuminate instead of prints on the faceplate like the rane has it. But... the s11 like most pioneer products are mostly made of fucking plastic! That is a no go for me at that price tag. Honestly, its so shameless of them selling a 1700$ mixer made of predominantly plastic. When testing both mixers side by side and touching them for the first time...you will immediately feel the difference between them. One feels like a toy, while the other is build like a tank with hardened cold steel. that were my two cents^^
