Nice tutorial thanks! Wish those drums were lower in the mix though.

Start with a long decay synth lead, then drop into a drum fill changing the pitch during the build. Then drop the 16 bar drum loop beat pattern with crash in between the pattern. Sounds more interesting. Starting with synth 1st really brings that feeling out of your drums to life! Try it!

Hi! I totally get what you're saying!! This was my first day with live looping, so I was just trying to highlight that. The video I'm working on tomorrow is about patterns and scenes, so I will try what you are suggesting!!

I think I prefer the Maschine MK3 over this ?
@ChannaDeSilva Жыл бұрын
I got this to add beats to my DJ sets. This thing will link perfectly in time with other Pioneer gear. With the Maschine, you will have to sync up manually. But I don't know if that's how you want to use this device.

Thanks for the tutorial man. Can u be able to extend the sequencer above 4 bars?
@ChannaDeSilva5 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, no. 4 bars is the max

Can I connect two synths at once, could you do a video on that plz?
@ChannaDeSilva3 жыл бұрын
I have not done a video on that, but David Guetta just did a video on his hybrid setup using a DJS1000. He has two synths connected which being triggered from the DJS1000. So I would assume it’s MIDI Out from DJS to first synth MIDI In, then MIDI Out from synth 1 to MIDI In on synth 2. As for the audio outputs on the synths, I would assume they are both going through the two effects pedals and then it’s going into either the mixer or back into the DJS1000, I’m not sure - kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZpSqlJR8bdCJh5Y

Does the DJS have any form of mute groups? And thank you Channa, for these helpful videos!
@ChannaDeSilva6 жыл бұрын
Hi ILL Green, I don't think it does, I'll poke around for you. I'm glad you like the videos!! Next one is going to cover scenes! I just ordered an AS-1, so I'll make a video about integrating that with the DJS1K as well.

Hey I found it, they're called Choke groups in the Track Setting page. Nice!

Hi! Thanks!! Please share with anyone that might find it helpful. Also, if you have anything you want to learn about this sampler, please let me know and I'll make a video about it.

Hi thanks for the reply ,am, thinking about buying a sampler ,, trying to figure out the differences between the DJS-1000 and Toraiz sp 16 ,,, and its not clear if all the functions are working properly on both of these units !?
@ChannaDeSilva7 жыл бұрын
I saw the other video where Steve is having issues with timing. I wonder how his is connected and what his sync settings look like. I know one difference is that the SP-16 has both LP and HF filters from Dave Smith Instruments. The DJS-1000 does not have those. It sucks that they pulled the plug on giving the SP-16 the live sampling feature. That's the main reason I got the DJS-1000.
@solaryzer7 жыл бұрын
Ya the djs 1000 is looking the better choice . Look forward to more vids :-)
@mojodrum32157 жыл бұрын
That's why they pulled the plug on giving us sp16 owners live sampling they want us to also purchase this unit because of there greed. I'm so upset on how Pioneer has treated us they will not see another purchase from me and others. There is a petition against them.

Reminds me of the MPC X. 🤔
@ChannaDeSilva6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's pretty similar. I think the MPC X has more features like a built in audio interface and a whole host of other features. This just has a CDJ form figure. So it's very easy to integrate into a DJ setup.

your drums are way too loud compared to your samples
