Sorry I'm now learning about car stereos. So were you saying that this unit does not include an amplifier? Where's the big metal part that's usually at the back of these these? I have to buy it separately or something?

Don't be sorry, I'm glad you're learning about Car Audio. It's a great hobby. I'll do my best to help you learn more about it. Nearly every Pioneer in-dash receiver has a built-in amplifier. The Pioneer DMH-C2500NEX has a built-in amplifier that is designed to operate up to 4 speakers in your vehicle. Take a look at this video for more information about wiring your Pioneer receiver. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5OpZKiwr8aHaZI The big metal part that's at the back is included with the Pioneer DMH-C2500NEX as shown in the video above. Please note the DMH-C2500NEX offers very advanced installation options. There may be better and easier options for your particular vehicle. Please consider Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX seen here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGO3hZmAiqlgm9U or the Pioneer DMH-W7600NEX seen here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWrciZ2cqr-Dqq8 You can find more videos on Pioneer's KZbin Channel here: kzbin.info

no mention of Idatalink Maestro capability?
@deckerdotto60355 жыл бұрын
There is no mention of idatalink Maestro, because the Pioneer DMH-C2500NEX doesn't work with Maestro. If you want Maestro consider Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX seen here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6XZnGp-q5uoqJY or the Pioneer DMH-C2550NEX. DMH-C2550NEX is a 6.8 inch screen and works with Maestro. www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/NEX/DMH-C2550NEX You can find more videos on Pioneer's You Tube Channel here: kzbin.info

I had mine installed at a local shop, they were able to link my pre existing usb port under the radio in my 2010 ford escape to the radio. All i have to do is plug my phone into the factory usb port in my car and its connected to the radio somehow
