Never thought of it this way, but it looks like so much of where you travel could be a Western movie scene. Like I'm expecting Gary Cooper circa 1952 or something. I MIGHT consider staying the night at that cabin. Hmmmm...... Oh, and NICE WIN Sunday! 10:00....um....whoa. Heck of a trip!

How much ground clearance do you think you have after you put your skid plates on? On my stock 4runner they say that the ground clearance is 9&1/2 inches, not sure how accurate that is. Great video and thank you for sharing!
@OpenRoad4Two
@OpenRoad4Two 2 жыл бұрын
Hey John, thanks for watching. This is a hard question to answer because individual set ups are very unique. We recently added about .5 inches of preload to our adjustable King coil overs to reduce our front wheel rubbing, but it also added to our ground clearance. With our 33’s at 33psi, we have approximately 11.5 inches of ground clearance at our low point with the RCI skids. The skids are about an 1/8 of an inch thicker than the stock front skid was that we removed. So the after market skids aren’t much different than the stock, so the added strength they provide is worth it to us. We have the TRD PRO skid plate on our 4Runner. It has 33”s and a Westcott Designs collar lift. It has about 12.25 inches of clearance. We hope this helps.

Nice video! This route is currently under attack by several of the (NEW) local residents with money. You know, the ones who move in & want to claim the area as their community, saying the road is private. It IS NOT a private road! The beginning is Burns Canyon Rd (BLM RC1430) and is a GREEN STICKER ROUTE! till it hits US Forest (2N02) This was a wagon road in the 1800s from Big Bear to Rose Mine & on to Warren's well (yucca valley) The recent storms have caused some rocks to block 2N02 and the ass's that are wanting to close it are useing this as firepower. Any jeep clubs/ offroaders that have a decent rig & means to winch need to get up & help clear the way IF you want to keep this route? Its a beautiful day trip & camping area. DO NOT ALLOW THESE environmental terrorists to lock you out!! Or hardass you if your up there, its your FULL Legal right to be.

@@OpenRoad4Two Yes several of the long time residents are pushing back but its like these people have nothing better to do. They have put up huge signs stating it's a private community & are insistent that a gate WILL be going up. The road status has been double checked with the BLM but all that was stated is if they put a gate up someone would have to go to court about it. 😳 WHAT?
