Mikey I just had Bosch at my shop where I’m install and production manager and the guys were great. I had 2 junior installers that were having trouble with the dual fuel hydro back up and they were a huge help.. They were just back with the gas furnace. I’m totally shocked all made by Midea

Thanks for toning down the hammer drill noise for us the viewer … don’t know how you guys survived that echo chamber.. I have a set of Ryobi headphones that take a battery… they cut the hammer drill noise but let me hear a person speaking… they are a worthy investment for the high end crew … Maybe Saint Mike makes an appearance ..all I could imagine while watching your clips of the hole drilling was the little old lady down the street was probably wondering what her hearing aids were picking up …thanks for the videos

I use the Honeywell 3000 with outdoor sensor whenever I do Bosch unit I recently just put it in a Eco e AC heat pump system very similar to the Bosch systems the Eco e have an app that you can download that will show you your pressures either way both systems are very nice especially the Bosch

Great install, looks great. Only thing I don’t like is the solder when it should be brazed lineset. I don’t know what American standards are but we don’t do that here. That said, I can see the skill you have in these trades and you sir are a fantastic tradesmen. I have four Redseal journeyman trade tickets, Refrig, residential gas, industrial gas, and plumbing, so I can see the little details, and recognize the little skills a good tradesman has, you have them! 👍🏻

You really don't need to braise the line sets only thing you need to really worry about braising are refrigeration lines or if your compressor burns out in your doing the compressor change other ways to stay clean and silver bright works just fine

Nice install, black wire for reversing valve, why not the standard orange wire. Black wire is generally considered as a power wire, or common. No need to confuse the next guy.

You don’t want to keep that unit above the concrete a little bit so you don’t get any rust or moisture on the bottom of the cabinet,Or even just some vibration pads so you don’t get any vibration vibration noise

Squirt some oil down the back side of the blade of the Milwaukee until it gets inside. This style tends to bind up if too dry.

Is it OK to use solder instead of silver solder brazing the dryer joints? About what psi is the equalized High and Low pressure that the dryer joints will see? New AC refrigerant operates at higher preasures.

You said two times and showed on your phone that the outdoor unit was programmed to shut off at 30 to 40° and then went on to say that the heat pump would run to -14° outdoor temperature it can’t be both. If that heat pump only runs to 30 or 40° outdoor temperature no saving there. Beautiful job though Beautiful job though

You're wearing a Navian knit hat, beanie or down south know as a bogan. That leaked the filter drier install step out into the atmosphre. Bosch stated that the crossover temp from heat pump to gas is 35 F to 40 F. That seems a little high. But I guess that varies by region and the cost of elctric and gas. Maybe?

i think it would be for 2 reasons, one for comfort to customer since it will only produce as many btu as it is rated on the cooling side ( i think he said 3 tons , so 36,000 Btu of heat ( approx ) second reason would be to prevent outdoor unit from going into defrost mode thus running gas furnace and outdoor unit for defrost purpose . What we do not know is how many sq ft the house is and what the heating load is. What I think will happen is as it gets colder outside even above the 40 degrees customer will decide to run system on 2nd stage ( gas furnace ) only cause of comfort. I would think that the cost of Nat gas vs electricity to produce the heat needed would be less. Since the customer is a engineer of some sort he may like to play with a system like this. One last thing we do not know if the price of the outdoor unit is higher than just a straight AC , that would affect pay back period and perhaps some rebates to customer made it a no brainier to install a dual fuel system
