I actually did some maintenance on my air handler today, and let me just say, thank you so much for posting these videos. Last week, I did my outdoor condensing unit, stripped and cleaned the coil with the coil cleaner, and coil gun from refrigeration technologies you recommended in previous videos. Also, busted out the meter, ohmed out the coil on the contacter, checked the cap, all was good, then buttoned it all back up. Today and blew out my condensate drain lines, cleaned my evaporator coil also with the viper EVAP cleaner and deodorizer from refrigeration technologies, and even removed the blower motor and housing to clean off the fan blades like you did the other day on that service call in Orlando! I was very maticulous and careful, taking pictures, labeling things, and writing down how eveything came apart so I wouldnt screw it up reassembling. After watching, I dont know, hundreds of hours of footage that you have posted, and slowly easing my way into doing more and more maintenance, I'm pretty confident I could figure out whats wrong with my equipment proably 90% accurately. The only thing I cant handle is anything to do with the refrigerant side of it, just cant rationalize with myself the investment of buying all that equipment to work on my own system lol. Thanks again, its actually a very enjoyable trade, I can see why you love what you do. I also did some duct work too, added a supply run and upsized an existing run, very rewarding seeing the finished product. Thanks again!!!!

Yes, bid out a new AC install in my home 1 1/2 years ago. Called a bunch of people and two showed up to give bids. One was about $10,000 more than the other. Went with the lowest because it was from our heating oil company who we have used for years and had a good experience with. Glad I did, a few months after I was investigating as issue at a relatives condo whare the more expensive company had done work a year before, lets just say I was shocked at a condensate line taped together with duck tape and resting on an old paint tray for support. They had originally sent out an estimate to fix it, but when I went up there and took photos they ended up fixing there mess up for free. I bet they assumed that no one would ever go up to the attic.

The last chuck n truck at least used tie wraps instead of just leaving the cap hanging in the box cld be worse and usually is lol 😅 also what is it with most techs and not supporting wiring especially low voltage. Strapping, conduit, threaded rod hell even a pipe screwed into a joist and tie wraps to it but no they just leave em flopping in the wind or secure them tight where they can and do get pinched by panels or ductwork. You at least try the only thing i cld suggest is that you get some wago junction boxes the wagos slide in and snap closed can hang them from ties or screw them down. just a thought. (I only know about them from the uk sparks i follow)
