For anyone confused why the Trapper thought what they did: The Crus died. By that happening, the BG wouldn't have any sort of defense, so if they protected, they would've died. The Trapper thought that, since Pipe lived and the trap didn't kill, somehow that meant the one who was stoned MUST have been BG, and that they defended Pipe. If that was true, they were dead, and 12 being alive meant they couldn't be BG, since Pipe must be Psy like he was claiming, so BG was WW. It was a sound path of logic. Kinda.

Yeah, a lot of people forget that other people only have the info that is shared in the chat and revealed on deaths, and sometimes, that info isnt important untill a lot later in the game either and thus forgotten. I was an exe pretending to be sheriff, tried to get my target lynched, they were killed the next day and due to a framer, no one expected me to be jester. In the end, it was 3 maffs, 1 ww(who claimed surv) and me, the only remaining "sheriff" who kept faking the will. They said "no hard feelings, its just business". WW voted inno. The logic was fully sound though, because even though there was no hex, no framer and I said that a town was suspicious one day, but I also left enough info out that people could deduce I was an exe turned jester. Just because there is information available that would reveal everything, its also up to the people to keep track of the info.

Much better if explain it from my own sight: Its the exact same as the thing you said, but I assumed that BG didnt protect Pipe, they protected dusa from maf and got stoned. Btw If anyone thinks my trap triggered someone on 13, no it didn't, the only time when my trap got triggered was, when 7 went on 6 and got killed. Apparently I Just dismantled the trap the following night and got hanged. And now, im asking: does crus protect BG from dying, when protecting someone? I was Mostly confused by that one mechanic

@@KingFroozy if i understand right Bodyguard got protected by Crusader but Bodyguard can't protect indirect attacks, so Rampage (which attacks all players visiting the target and the target themselves) attacked the Crusader and the Bodyguard couldn't protect it. Could be mistaken but i think i explained it right

Bodyguard attacks people who directly attack their target, like Mafioso or CL with necro. But since Crus was attacked because of WW’s rampage and not because WW targeted them, it counted as an indirect attack.

@@bartudundar3193 Bg did not die the same night, but even if it did it wouldn't mean much since neither the b g or crus claimed to be on Pipe. Also the WW only rampages people who visit them if the WW stays home. You can visit the WW on rampage nights if the WW chooses to attack someone else.

14:25 Faking spy is one of my often used tactics when I get Jester, simply because someone once said: "Nobody fakes spy" XD But it does tend to work in a lot of cases, although has resulted in a couple of deaths at night due to maf or something.

@@ChaseJonas75 Games with Jani are very interesting to claim Med on since you can immediately out yourself as an evil to maf by fake claiming med and then claiming a random role for the dead role(make sure they are not a unique one and don't do it late in the game when they may have whispered their roles to confirmed townies). Kinda useful if you wanna play witch/exe and get help from evils. Town rarely checks up the viability of your fake wills (unless you are posting fake spy or making a really ballzy play for fake TI) for cleaned people unless they are unique and you get hard CCd. In fact if you're exe you can just go for an immediate outing of the "Dusa" like Pipe did since most people expect exe to be either Sherrif or LO or maybe vig but almost never a medium. The big problem with Medium is that if there is another medium you're kind of fucked since your claim is immediately outed and if the town has no leads they immediately turn to you since you are hard to confirm as opposed to other roles.

I think with social deduction games, you need the "bad guy" to do something fun. I love imposter in Among Us because it's fun to sneak attack people. In this game, it's more about picking the right targets so there's more pressure.

Fooling people is fun. It just takes actual effort in this game VS among us because you actual need to have a good fake claim and you need to adapt to different circumstances.

More traditional social deduction games tend to have much more moving parts, so skill ceiling is higher and it takes much longer to reach it. When Among Us first got popular my friend group played it for one weekend before those of us experienced with similar games all got on the same level, and who won depended on how "stacked" each side was and how well the less experienced of us played on that given match. We've come back several times as they've added new mechanics and the ship map, but it's never lasted too long. Been playing Town of Salem and Diplomacy (not social deduction, but the mindgames are reminiscent) on and off with the same friend group since early 2015. Took months for skill to even out in ToS, still hasn't with Diplomacy.

When I played 4 years ago, medium would normally die first to the point people I played with, plus myself, would laugh about “Medium’s Curse”. Since I started playing again, medium’s been getting to the end so it seems “Med’s Curse” stopped happening (sad)

It's more that medium's curse seems to happen when mediums don't claim day 1. The only real exception is if there are multiple day 1 med claims since they can confirm each other and make evil's lives that much harder but even that is iffy.

I was Bannico the Trapper that game, and you know what? We didnt have a chain... They Just threw me under the bus, didnt believe me throught all the game, and twice accused me of being Werewolf. I doubted 12 cuz BG got a kill but didnt die somehow. Also, they Just bullied me of being a REALLY BAD player, when I did nothing wrong, but doubted a BG :( P.S. Now, when I think of it, I can't mention the fact, that 12 Messed a lot too. They didnt trust me, even when tracker literally confirmed me, and they somehow didn't mention that I innod Pipe and tried to revote someone. "They're wasting trials". Why would I inno one of the Last two townies, if I was Werewolf? It's like a piece of cake, that I cant be Werewolf, but they ignored facts and guiltied Me anyway. I mean, yes, I missunderstood the mechanic of BG's protections and Who they walked into, but 12 ignored the most obvious confirmation of Me.

Bodyguard not protecting from indirect attacks. It reminds me a game where I played as visiting evil: targeted someone attacked by WW and used this to claim BG and in whispers saying I protected killed person. LO even confirmed me, initially trying to accuse me of being WW but I pointed out that LO would die if I was WW. I didn't survive that game when town got too many confirmed townies and I was presumed generally evil but BG on killed person was fun to fakeclaim.

not super relevant since first arso died too early for this to be helpful, but ive found that if youre arsonist and get lynched mid-game ish, saying who you have doused as your last words is helpful! never discount the possibility of a second arso who could use the info you leave behind to grab you an arsonist win. ive had games where im lynched before i can ignite, but i announce who’s doused before dying, and then a second arsonist is able to use the info to clean up the town and burn it down and we both win.

I actually have a theory about that. In Among Us, imposter is more appealing because killing provides instant gratification where crewmate provides a CHANCE at delayed gratification, which is why mods are generally preferred because they give crewmates things to do that feel far more important. ToS on the other hand has all sorts of town roles that all have the potential to be very powerful, which makes evil roles, especially weaker faction evil roles (i.e mafioso), less appealing.

Alot of the roles require you to have completed all of your tasks, or do something in voting time, or require you to die. Point being, these don't offer the instant gradification imp or even engineer gives you. Though, as someone who leaves modded games as soon as I realize they are modded, it may support yhe theory of gradification.

Burrito was pretty dumb tbh. He was so confused by someone he protected dying, he didnt realize that had to mean who he was protecting didnt get attacked directly, but died to visiting a killing role that attacks visitors. Guys gonna hate Medusas, Ambushers, Serial Killers, Arsonists, Pests, Witches/Coven Leaders... It doesnt help Bannico completely missed you saying Medusa targeted you which would be death. Everytime I play WW, people look at who those who died to WW to see where they went.
