Town of Salem is a social deduction game similar to Among us and Goose Goose Duck. Among Us/Goose Goose Duck allows you to play the game with up to 4-15 players, Town of Salem allows up to 15 players in a single game.
Like Among Us/Goose Goose Duck, you can be good or evil with factions such as Town, Mafia and Neutrals. Among/Goose Goose Duck us has 2 roles (without mods), town of salem has 33 different characters in the base game. Town of Salem is a great alternative to Among Us/Goose Goose duck if you're looking for another game in the social deduction genre. TECHNICALLY, igniting yourself as arso doesnt require a throw because another arso could douse you as you hit the ignite button which wouldnt be throwing 🤓

Resurrecting the pest doesn't require a throw either, because pmer (or doc in my case) can heal you. When I got THAT achievement I was shocked that I got healed. I was losing anyway but still.

It might be interesting if the achievement was "win a game where you ignite yourself". Way harder tho. Also, idk if you would win as arsonist if you ignited every remaining person in the same night, because if you lost in that scenario it would be very difficult

@@hashirablu Feel free to try it in a game if you don't trust the wiki. Pest is invincible and has powerful attack. Doc/crus/BG deliver powerful defense (BG only against one attacker). Powerful attack is stopped by powerful defense, and BG fights back by doing a powerful attack (which isn't enough to kill pest which is invincible).

I remember I actually got the "It's getting hot in here" achievement AND WON. I claimed arso D1 as a "fake claim" and followed up by claiming a TI. Someone whispered me saying they were arso too, and when I got doused I realized it was real. I got another douse off while they cleaned off, the next night ignited, died in the fire, and won.

Not sure what Coven was thinking innoing the first round. There were 7 players, one on trial, and 3 coven. If qll coven inno, then there's no way the jest gets executed. They should've had poisoner or hex vote guilty and CL inno.

My favorite ever jester game I pretended to be a sheriff and figured a false accusation would get me hung. Day 2 I pretend to investigate someone and they get hung. Forger. Day 3 I pretend to investigate someone else and they get hung. Mafioso. Day 4 pretend to investigate someone else and call them serial killer. They hang. Godfather. The next day I just say "I've got to be the luckiest jester ever, can you just hang me? I basically won you the game." They did and I got the entire mafia accusing me of cheating

In the end there with heads, that’s not how statistics works. It’s an even 50/50 no matter past events because they are isolated. Basicallyas an example, if I haven’t flipped a coin yet then I have a 12.5% chance of getting 3 heads in a row, but if I’ve already gotten two heads in a row then I’m flipping a 3rd time it’s still a 50% chance it’s a heads and therefore 3 heads in a row. It’s a very normal mistake to make dough and casinos use it to hook most people, so it’s not a mistake you should feel bad about.

I finally got it and I must share these stories: Game#1 won as exe d2 cause town rando voted target. Became kingmaker and chose town cause trans appeared to be smartest player whole game and they were last town alive. Game#3?4? I got exe; fake claimed sheriff. I intentionally got Framer lynched and became "confirmed" (I needed to get a guilty person so they'd believe me). I Became outed the next day cause of no claim space due to the graveyard. Admitted to being exe. I convinced town not to lynch cause of outing Framer. The next few days I annoyed them with begging for win and town was split on it. Even my target said "just lynch me to shut him up". Eventually I agreed to vote against maf to get win. Then I was attacked but trans transed me and target trying to save them but it backfired. I convinced sk and last town to vote me (now jest) if I random haunted. Random haunt killed sk and it ended as a draw/jester only win. At the end someone commented "wtf was this game". Mood. Game#12 Got jailor. Esc rbed gf n1. They went 1v1 the next day. Esc got lynched yelling that town is stupid all the way. After their role is revealed I jail gf to see if no maf kills. Gf faked med with tech difficulties. I continued to jail them while town ran in circles for the next few days. Idr how first maf died. Town knew who jest was but I felt like I missed something. they were lynched. Gf dropped the act and started begging for exe. I kept saying "no" in jail chat. Mafioso was killed by sk and sk was outed by TIs. That night I said "now I exe :D" and was called heartless, a monster, ect. for the duration of the night. Lasted 6 days... I think. Sorry for making a comment about me, but I wish it had been recorded.

I haven't played ToS in years, but I distinctly remember one time when I got Jester role; I was trying to get my target voted out, but then somehow I was the one on the chopping block. One particular player was really pushing for me to get the axe, and everyone just kinda went along with it, then realized their mistake too late. I was so spiteful that I straight up haunted him, and he turned out to be the Godfather role. Townies then thanked me in chat lol

I think in the arso game you might have had a better shot if you ignited when you had two people doused. You'd have killed a vamp (9) and a town (15) leaving two town, but vamp bites one of the townies. Assuming vamp is paying attention they don't bite the doused townie (15) because vamps lose if you ignite in that case and they don't bite you because you're outed arso, so one of the remaining townies is bitten. Then you have a 1v1v1 and you just have to try and convince the townie to side with you which is *unlikely* but not impossible. Honestly though at that point you were pretty much screwed. I guess really your only *real* shot in hindsight was trying to double down claiming rbd by consort as the maf visit (since maf was kind enough not to out you in DN or will), not igniting, and claiming doused since you'd already claimed outside of your invest results. Even then though, you probably still get lynched and if you don't then the situation becomes so different that it's hard to predict how things would go from there with any degree of certainty. Oh well, get 'em next time!
