You can't see me but I was feeling pretty down that day, I walked past as they played this and for a few minutes things didn't seem so bad. Always come back to this video when I need cheering up.

I was never a fan of the circle for performing. My feeling in the 80's when I got out of competition was that it was driving the chanters to be exaggerated in loudness and brightness in order for the tone to escape through the wool to reach judges who assess the tone from this very position. Having rebuilt a set at A440 for folk band before they were commercially sold, and invented a radical uilleann chanter construction, I'm fine with evolution in principle, just not so happy with this particular choice. The band of course is awesome!
