Your videos, if I still taught, I would be asking you to allow me to show students one of, as an example of the best elements of informative presentations. Excellent factual history presented by people who passionately love their city, their city’s history, and who love sharing all that with viewers. The lively, natural way you present all this info, and clearly play off each other so naturally, is refreshing! Awesome video guys...Some of the Baratarian & Lafitte's activities are touched upon by Barbara Hambly's historical fiction books that are set in that era and is centered around characters that were free blacks in the early 1800's. From what I've come to learn, he's bad by TODAYS standards. (Because of slave trading, and could become ruthless if crossed.) Otherwise yeah, he was rather personable.
