Id say that doctor probably appreciated 100% being able to take something traumatic and turn it into something positive for you. Had a similar thing, lost 60% of my tendon in a brutal car crash and I'm a huge gamer. They had to put me in a cast because if i raised my hand above my head my tendon would rip, and when they brought me in to get my cast fitted the cast guy asked me "Xbox One or ps4" and i had an xbox one at the time. The cast guy ACTUALLY put a divot in the palm of the cast so the controller would seat.

If reconstructive surgery was involved, I'd say the injury was WAY deeper than just surface level. Micro stitches for nerve surgery tend to ramp up very fast. And I'm pretty sure there wasn't just the lip being split open.
@AfatterMan219 күн бұрын
@@MrFuzziiWuzziiif he needed reconstructive nerve surgery it’s very likely that there were many internal stitches; catching your face on a chain when your whole body weight is pulling downward could be a serious case of peeled face. I’m certainly not going to spend any effort demanding he prove it nor will I think about it beyond this line of comments lol, it doesn’t really matter to my life. “Dude got the scar falling out of a chair” is all I’m really absorbing

@SkyHawk213719 күн бұрын
The fact reconstructive nerve surgery was mentioned makes me suspect it went a lot further than just the lip, and that the individual stiches were absolutely tiny and close together to ensure it healed properly. Rather than the relatively large stiches with some distance between them that's normally the case. More or less if regular stiches are 'knitting', his case was 'lacemaking'.

Had a friend in the 6th grade who was leaning his chair back super far, like it was something he always did but every time I was just waiting for something to happen, and one day the chair flipped and he smashed his face into the hard floor of our classroom and literally blacked out in a puddle of his own blood. When he woke up like 30 seconds later, the principal was trying to pick him up off the floor, his face was covered in blood, and he'd lost like two teeth. Somehow, while he was walking out he was laughing. Then I had a friend in the 10th grade who had a seizure at his desk in the middle of class, passed out and fell on the floor. Showed up the next day and said he didn't remember literally any of it.

@@evlchick Even if he did, there's no way that requires 365 stitches. Even if they're were 1mm apart (which they aren't), that would 36.5cm of (pure) stitches. If your surgeon is putting 730 holes in your face, something fucked up somewhere. Because that density of stitches basically means you are destroying so much skin that it's going to be harder to heal if anything.
@markzaikov45618 күн бұрын
@@XxZeldaxXXxLinkxX "Stitch" doesn't just mean you stitch it like how you sew a cloth or regular wound stitch. It could mean joining two broken parts as well. In this case, it was reconstructive surgery to nerves and dermis. 100 isn't a lot actually if you look at them laid out. Don't compare this to typical stitches. *There are stitches that uses very thin ones and very close together.* This way it will look more normal when it healed than a typical scar.
