POV: Imagine, it’s 2021. You’re a random tiny pebble, out in some gravel, in Washington. You’re enjoying a front row seat to some range practice with mojo on a sunny day, intently listening in on gripping the handgun, if only you could apply these skills.

Mojo IS what EVERY police academy/gun instructor dreams of having! Clear, relaxed! Concise and easy to understand and he talks TO YOU, not down to you. He approaches every single person on a level that you feel he’s equal and not better then you. 8 hrs with mojo is like 5 years of education. 👍🏼🙏🏽

Mojo in a 5 min video you just helped me self diagnose my grip issue and why I feel like my left hand falls off/moves. Your always taught to keep skin as far away from moving parts but in this instance it’s a non issue. God bless you brother.

Wrist lock / wrist tension is very underated aspect of shooting most instructors dont talk much about.I learned it from Ron Avery many years ago taking one of his classes.Mojo definitely is a excellent instructor.

Hey Mojo, I always find my self coming back to this video. I have a question about left handed shooters. So on one of your points you talk about getting your non dominant hand high and your thumb up on the slide. But with being left handed, my thumb interferes with the ejection port. Is there a tip that you have that can possibly allow my hand to still get that high without getting in the way??

When I set out this past year on really learning handgun the support hand wrist is where it's at. When you don't do the position alot it begins to feel unnatural again. That's how I can tell if I am not dry firing enough. Great instruction. A+

1. Your videos are great, love them. Can you post a left and right picture of how you are gripping and holding your pistol with the right hand (right side picture) with the wrist bent & locked the way you are showing them? and of the left hand and where is gripping and thumb is being placed? 2. Where can I find that awesome cummerbund you have on your plate carrier?

Brother, that is one of enlightening videos, excellent excerpt on grip, sadly a bit too far in distance taken video. I wish you can make one video on grip, trigger and stance. Mojo: what do you think about a body camera on your vest, so people can see what you’re doing with your hands, when teaching people? There’s 360° cameras the size of GoPro as well, so that you don’t worry about getting the right pitch angle.

Hey mojo my I’m right dominant, my issue is that the slide is cutting my right thumb? I noticed in the video that you briefly were asked if you thumb ever gets caught up. Cause I have my thumb does and I thought I had proper hand placement but I’m not sure anymore. Could you do a video or let me know where my primary hand and thumb should be placed so it doesn’t get cut.

It seems like when I try to get really high up on my Glock 19 (gen 5 FWIW), my hand either holds down the slide release and it doesn't lock back on empty or my hand accidentally pushes up on the slide release while firing and creates malfunctions. Any idea what to do to rememdy this...?
@ryanwolfe22193 жыл бұрын
Had that issue when I first started, only thing I did to correct was more awareness and just reps of cycling the weapon. Like it's said, building consistency. Just making sure I wasn't in contact with the release unless I intended to be. Interested in hearing if anyone else has response, though. More info is always good.

Can you do a close up on the "ledge" that your support thumb is on
@joeblow92843 жыл бұрын
“Ledge” Is a generous term. It’s more of a reference point for your support thumb to get the same grip every time. It really offers no downward support to control muscle rise.
