Yellow and white wire are your lighting coil's AC output. None of those wires has anything to do with ignition keys. If you installed an ignition key, it would close a circuit between chassis ground and your ignition wire which looks like it's green with white stripe. The wire you removed was probably lime-colored, and it's a neutral indicator power source.

So I have the same motor an the bolt to Mount the magneto flywheel on is gone like the bearing is still there but the shaft is gone how do I fix that ? An where could I get that part replacement. motor has very high compression an it’d be a shame to scrap it got the bike for free

Brooo my flywheel was rusted out I had another engine so tried to put that engines flywheel and stator on mine but the lil pin to aim you flywheel like the crankshaft lil pin it broke off so now the flywheel is on but the crankshaft is moving but the flywheel isn’t help me out.

Do you need to use an impact wrench to tighten the bolt

columbine yes.. well i used impact gun, but a impact ratchet may be ok if it is strong enough. If not you may need the tool to hold the flywheel still. If you have a gun, or wrench zip it tight, dont go crazy tho, i think the spec is around 30-40ft lbs or so

Brendan Binder no i dont, im outta town, ill try an measure it when i get back. Why do u need to know? Trying to find a new flywheel? I had to buy a new one
