on these bikes i find that putting a bigger sprocket on the front is a must. on all the pit bikes i’ve ridden 1st gear is so slow it’s barely useable

Brother this right here 😂😂😂 your not going nowhere in 1st unless your redlining and even there you’ll get 10-12pm if your lucky it’s crazy… but back to your comment, do you mean front sprocket as in the sprocket that’s connected to your engine?

Of course a bigger front sprocket reduces torque but one advantage is that you get better mileage I have a 100cc bike before it used to do It used to do 45 km per liter before, when the big front sprocket was installed, now the same bike is giving me a mileage of 57 km per liter.

I have a 2022 SSR160TR. Upgrading my chain but also want to upgrade front sprocket. Do u know the stock size? Should I go up or down a tooth or keep stock sprocket?
@NateAsaurus
@NateAsaurus Жыл бұрын
It really all depends on the type of riding you do. I tend to do more street so thats why I went up. First gear is probably pretty unusable stock. On Thumpertalk forum a guy reccomended trying a 17 front tooth to be able to use first gear better.

I own the Rks Titanic 150. I'm thinking of replacing the rear gear of my motor.(43) The aim is to relax the engine.,; the gear ratios are too short, the vehicle can't lengthen, you need to shift quickly, the speed ends quickly, I don't want to shout too much, I'm looking for some 6th gear, I usually ride this engine in reverse, without losing much traction, I was told to make the rear gear 36-38, I'm happy with my engine in the city and I also travel on long roads, they said that Ybr fits as a rear sprocket, otherwise where can we find it, regards, I wanted to get your advice for the front and rear gears, and what brand should I wear as a front spoiler?
@NateAsaurus
@NateAsaurus 2 жыл бұрын
So for some top end either increase the front size or make the rear sprocket smaller. I wouldn't jump more than 2,3, or even 4 teeth on the front as youll loose too much torque if you jump any more. Im not familiar with brands but id choose steel over aluminum so it has a longer life. Id try increasing the front by 2 teeth to start out. Hope this helps

How did this work out for you mate. I too have 43 back and 13 front both stock. I am thinking about 16/17 front. Got big and thick wheels I am not sure this change will affect torque big time. What's your take

@@Tburlthegreat With vm26 it is hard to get the idle right on a 125. its a 54×54 motor, but it only has the small valve head also. Maybe with a ported head and cam but on a stock motor vm22 or vm24 is better.

@JAKDRZR
@JAKDRZR 6 ай бұрын
@@Maxumized I agree. But I went from the stock pz19 to a pz22 on my nephews 110 and it actually helped a ton. The stock carb wasn’t adjustable at all and super lean everywhere. The pz22 kit I got off Amazon was 25$ Canadian. lol. Most of the reason I got it was so I could tune it properly but definetly revs out better/faster. I think the 19 is to small on a 110 but you still need intake velocity for throttle response.
