After receiving a really lot of comments saying that "there is no such thing as Israeli pita bread" I made this video.

I’m Moroccan, Italian, living in Vienna! Food is food and humans are humans! ✌🏼 But thanks for pointing out that Israeli food is Arab food ❤️ but at the same time, you don’t need to justify yourself. I personally loved your pita bread recipe! 🙌🏼 Let’s all just love and respect each other for what we are

All of the dishes have been known long before the Muslim conquest. Arabs adopted local recipes. Now they’re pretending it’s their food. Max is a good cook, but uneducated person. Plus, he’s anti Israeli every time he can score a few upvotes.

What a wonderful contribution Max. You’re absolutely right we’re all humans and love good, simple food. Your recipe works for me. Love your low key and practical videos. Shalom/ salam/ alles Gute Thorsten from Brisbane P. S. Thanks for sharing a bit of your story.

Max thank you for your very insightful vlog. We are all brothers & sisters made by the one God, regardless of where we are born, or what religion or colour. Keep the recipes coming. We will enjoy them all, regardless of where they originate from. Take care & God bless us all as one united family. By the way my husband & I tried your pita recipe & it’s was scrumptious. Never having made pita before I was amazed how it turned out. We were so excited & once this lockdown is over my whole family will also be able to enjoy pita & felafel which you so kindly vlogged.

How do people not know there is a difference? I have been to Israel and had pita there, it is spongier, moist, more bready almost. I have had pita from other Arabic speaking countries and it is what most people think of as pita, flatter not as spongy.

Why do some people have to comment about anything other than the recipes and how to make them. Other places are appropriate for politics. He is "just a cook who is trying to make food". Good grief.

what's funny is I have the same problem when I make pasta at home. my mom keeps telling me Marco Polo stole the recipe from China because that's where the egg noodles originated from. I just eat the food weather its egg noodles, or pasta noodles

As John Hume put it, respect for diversity is the most fundamental principal of peace. Food is an incredible opportunity to make peace instead of war, for cross-cultural exchange. Let's find more ways to enjoy each others' food in each others' company! This is how we can live side-by-side as friends not enemies.
@robynblauberg9863 Жыл бұрын
Also, depending on how broadly you define pita, it's a little ridiculous to argue whose it is. Pita is a Greek word, and Greek pita doesn't have a pocket, so it can't even be defined as bread with a pocket. It's just flatbread. Flatbread has been made in the Middle East since the time that it had to be made of wild grains since the domestication of wheat wouldn't be for another 5000 years.

I look forward to your Israeli falafel recipe max, be proud and don’t pander to the abuse. If the recipe is from Israel, name it so. Just like you said in the video, if you were making Iraqi bread you wouldn’t rename it? All the best, looking forward to more good video content from ya! Cheers 🍻

Kids were fighting for the Oursa ! Cute and Mini... Beteavon - Sahtain Habibi . Ich danke dir ! bleibst du gesund! Ilohim yoshev LeMala ..Em Hamel"achim.... i I agree there are slight differences between Palestinian, Lebanese and Syrian hummos I am interested to know , how is Israeli hummos or pita bread different to Palestinian ones ,, hummos BTW is simple to make but probably one of the toughest things to master
@maxmalkiel78334 жыл бұрын
In Palestine there are also different styles. Jerusalem, Galilee, Bedouin and Druze styles etc. Generally Israelis like their pita thicker and "fluffier". Israeli hummus has to be perfectly smooth, like gelato and usually a bit thicker.
@ghaddah4 жыл бұрын
@@maxmalkiel7833 traditional hummos was minced using a mortar and pestle,some Palestinians still prefer it this way , but you still find the smooth creamy style in many cities in Palestine where they tend to use a blender , ,with bread its the same thick and fluffy one , if you are talking Lebanese or Syrian pita now that is thin , in fact very thin
@maxmalkiel78334 жыл бұрын
Well, Israel is in Palestine. Then food is almost the same

I've more than talked to Israelis. I've lived, worked and am friends with them. My children are sabras. The educated people know they are Arabs. The rest are brain washed. The same as my own community. We speak Persian but in Israel it's called "Judaeo-Tadzhik" (whatever this nonsence may mean) language. Ideology...
