Those engine supports really come in handy, I modified mine to work on the Vettes so it sits on the frame rails. Paid for itself the first time I used it. Ive never used it on my fbody yet but a friend borrowed mine for the exact thing your doing on his 02 SS.

Gotta check the oil pan for debris. I feel like some rtv sealant may have gotten in the pick tube and recirculated
