Wow, that is an awesome performance and recording. To see all the different instruments from the winds is great. I have only a very poor and unmotivated CD of that.... but YOU ARE GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's a good time to perform it in Poland! The Polish National Wind Orchestra will play this piece of work on 4, 5, 6, 9 October 2021!

I mean that since the middle of the 1970s, Penderecki is no more an interesting composer

+MrBohuslav People said exactly the same thing about Stravinsky's neo-classical period. the reallity is that both Stravinsky and Penderecki were and are great creators of music, in every "styles" the chose. Penderecki's symphony N°2 or N° 7, his cello concerto N°2, his 3rd quartet or his marvellous sextet are evidence of his genius.

If you look at the classical music composers body of work, most of it has been created when they were in their twenties. Well, let's just say Penderecki is not in his twenties anymore and it is good he is still active and composing despite his change of style. By the way - one of his most popular works - Passacaglia used in Shutter Island movies is a recent work.
