My dad used to live in the Ridge wood area just about three blocks from Central ave. I would visit every summer and winter break as a preteen since my mother and father were divorced. That was between 2002-2006, used to love heading down Roosevelt ave to shop at stores and go to eateries down the strip. Yea ive been to roosevelt many many times over 15 years since i was a kid and its never been this openly bad. Dk whats going on, theyre not even hidng much and the cops dont patrol that area much and dont really do anything when they do. Luckily i live in a more decent part of Queens but I still have to pass by roosevelt all the time and its depressing. Especially on saturday nights when everyones drunk and theres fights and shit. This disturb me so much as someone who came here as an immigrant with my parents over 30 years ago.
