Another thing is setting the phone to do something when you double tap the back. I think it's in gestures but I set mine to take a screenshot when I double tap the back of the phone. Works great!

I have had a great experience with the 6 pro. I've had it for over a week now and I don't have any major complaints. The ghost calls are pretty funny but I think that's just an Android 12 issue. The fingerprint scanner can be fixed with a software update and I only know this from beta testing custom roms on my OnePlus 7T. I think Google did a great job this year and the tensor is pretty beefy. This is a great step in the right direction and I'm glad I was able to get one.

@@Gamer-zk3tz enrol on the phone app beta test. Let the app update. Go to your contacts app and delete the cache. Restart phone. Let someone call you but don't answer, let it ring for say 20 seconds, then hang up. Check the phone app settings and enable the option Call Screen option.

Setting the "animator duration scale" to less than 1x breaks the fingerprint scanner being present on the always on display. Leave it at 1x.

I knew I wasn't crazy. I set all these to 0.5 and then found myself searching for the thumb location on lockscreen.changing that from 1x did hide the thumbprint on lockscreen then changing duratioj scale back to 1x brought it back. I woulda never realized where it went. I did leave the others at 0.5x and appreciate the faster transitions. Thanks!

@@Carlosaddisosa No, it is still an issue (2021/11/19). With the Animator duration scale set to .5x, if you press the power button to turn off the display, the fingerprint and battery life icons do not appear again until you press the power button. Setting it back to 1x makes it so if you do the above, the fingerprint and battery life icons are present.

Another thing I noticed about the fingerprint scanner on Pixel 6 pro is that if you are outside and it's sunny sometimes it has a hard time getting a read. Usually I try to put my back to the sun to partially block it and hold the phone right up against my body to help block the light.

@@kp3624 same. i just moved everything to that second screen and made the original "home" screen a calendar widget. The good thing is the phone leaves you at the screen you were already on when you unlock it so youre not always having to swipe right.

The pixels are using the new goodix sensor. This is the newest and very best fingerprint scanner sensor available . It's slower because where Chinese phones and others scan the finger once or maybe twice , Google is scanning it ten times to make the scanner much more accurate and a far less chance for a missed scan . It has the best sensor in the business but it's much more thorough. Let's see how many times less it scans to appease the complainers .
