@@abarzua21able I use to always have two devices that I switched back and forth between from Android to Apple to keep up with each platform. I try to use speech to text as much as I can with iPhone though very frustrating as Siri is not nearly as good as Google Assistant is with these tasks. I might not even switch but rather add another line to have both!!

I agree with most of your settings, except everybody reaaaaally should keep assistant turned off. Nobody wants Google to always be listening to everything they do. You're literally giving them permission to listen to and record everything you say around your phone.

Would have been nice to specify which tips are exclusive to the Pixel 6/6 Pro and which are Android 12 features. I don't know for sure but seems like many are Android 12 and not Pixel 6 only.

At a glance is so good! I used my pixel 6 when I went away on holidays and it told me what gate to go to when I was in the airport, didn't need to check the flight numbers or anything; so handy!

Great vid. No Earthquake setting for the 6. You don't recommend 16:9 for the front cam? When and why did Android get rid of the WPS setting for wifi? As a cable service tech, I used that feature every day. Is there an app I can use to connect to wifi with the WPS button? Pix 6 is my upgrade from the Blackberry KEYone! Lots to get used to.

I got a pixel 6 Xmas eve and I'm really impressed, totally skipped all the bugs, I recommend Nova Launcher though, it's so much better than the default and is faster. I keep automatically turn WiFi on turned off because if you need to use data it will keep swapping to wifi

I bought the pixel 6 at the ATT store. It was very incompatible with my bluetooth hearing aids. It would always drop calls probably ATTs fault and it would freeze my hands free controls on my bluetooth in my car most of the time despite repair them numerous times. I took it back and got a cheap Galaxy AO2 phone works great will keep this one for awhile.

Universal search is not a new thing on Android. Although it's true it wasn't something native, alternatives such as Sesame Shortcuts or some third-party launchers have provided this type of search for several years. I understand the importance of this stuff being a native system function, but it wasn't something very advanced or super difficult to just install an app for it in the past 😂

Thanks for the tips. I've had my phone for a month now and you showed me things never knew, even though I did explore the featrues. Why I ended up here though is to find out why sometimes my "OK Google' or using the Assistant types a reply rather than speaks. I know it's not a feature to turn off and on because they both happen, I just never know which one will happen the next time I want it. I find it useless for it to type a message because I have no reason for it to be silent. It has nothing to do with the chat typing feature as I also had that on my previous LG G5. Any thoughts? It really is annoying.

First thing to do to get it running optimally is delete all the google apps 😂🤣 I was actually surprised there was a few must have apps it didn't come with (coming from an iPhone). No weather, no simple notes and no email (other than gmail). Lucky there's a lot of apps in the store to choose from. But wading through finding good ones can be tedious. But there's some very handy tricks and once you learn them and setup the phone, makes for a great experience. Still not a fan of themed icons though🤔

it seems that is the Pixel 6 Pro. I recently got the Pixel 6 and the deep blacks look more greenish and whites look more yellowish. Seems that the display is not that great in that sense.

I have a pixel 6 and the only thing I do not like about it is that when you turn the notification off it also turns your ringer down so that you cannot hear it. If I'm wrong someone please let me know

Hi, I have two issues with my 6 Pro. 1. My clock is set in the evenings to PM and the 24 hour clock is off at all times. Yet on the always on display, if it's 8:30PM for example, it's displayed as 08:30! I've been through all the clock settings multiple times, I think this must be a bug? 2. The fingerprint doesn't work all the time it's very hit and miss, I don't want to have to re-set the phone again, this all seems to have happened from the last software update last week, and of course the time on my galaxy watch 4 is also displaying a 24 hour clock! First tip in and I already don't like the tip haha. On 99% of devices, 1080p resolution with 60 fps will look much much better than 4k at 30fps. There is no reason to record at 4k unless you are going to view the content on a 4k device or you have unlimited storage because 4k takes up a shit load of space.
