I'm in the US and received my 8a on Saturday. Really enjoying so far. I'm coming from a 6a and really like the new screen and facial recognition. Not sure I will use it but it's also nice to have the wireless charging.

@@johnganta Sorry but I didn't get a chance to use it a lot being a busy weekend. I had it charged to 100% at about 7pm Saturday and didn't put it on to charge until Sunday night about 9:30 pm and it was still at about 30%.

De todas maneras creo que un iPhone 12 mini podría aguantar otro año sin despeinarse, mejor espera al Pixel 10 que seguro darán un plan de trade in muy bueno como hicieron con el 8a. Si esperar no te suena bien, ve si hay trade in para tu iPhone, aquí en España me dan 260€ + 150€ en el Google store por mi Pixel 6a.

8a is $499 in the US. 8 is $599. If past continues then the 8 might drop down to $549 or less again, but we don’t know for sure if/when they will go on sale again. Just get the one you want now if you need a new phone and want a Pixel.

Best Buy has a good promo going rn. $100 BB gift card w/ purchase (could consider that an additional $100 off the phone) and there's increased trade in value for previous pixel devices. I'm trading in my like new 6a for $180. All said and done after tax and including the BB gift card that's $270~ for a brand new pixel on release day. Not a bad deal especially considering I got the 6a for $250 about 2 years ago. I'd bet the trade in value of your 6 pro is better than my 6a as well!🤘

I really like this phone and the idea of keeping it very similar to the flagships, but the price has to be reduced. My theory is that this will get aggressive discounts in the future (Black Friday maybe) or will be much cheaper in the resale market (swappa, ebay, etc.), and then it'll for sure be a good deal. 🐬

how does it compare to the Pixel 8? Here in Sweden the 8a launch price is 6600kr (~$600), whereas the Pixel 8 can routinely be found for ~7500kr (~$700), so kinda debating whether the extra money is worth it. Considering how badly the Swedish krona has plummeted in value in recent years either one is expensive at this point :/
