I bought the Pixel 9 Pro XL(256 GB model of course) and I have almost the entire Pixel series. I had the Pixel, and Pixel 2 XL, skipped the 3 and 4 because the 2 was so good, and Pixel 5(huge disappointment with its mid-range processor because I have low vision and use speech to text for everything I do and it would often lag tremendously when texting), Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 8 Pro, and now the Pixel 9 Pro XL. I agree, they finally got everything right! I cannot say enough about how well this phone works.

I have the pixel 3, 4, 5, 6, 8,9 The 4 was a great phone you missed The 5 is tied as my favorite pixel, I use it when I travel, it's just as quick as my 8. Unlimited photo and video storage, super light ... I bought the 9 pro so it can fit into my sweats and suit pants with no issues I'll wait until the 11 to upgrade the pixel ( no more Samsung Galaxy fold phones for me, I might look into the pixel fold 11 in 2 years)

Firstly, I TRIED to upgrade to the Pixel 4 XL, but as I stated in my original comment, I have low vision and the 4 XL had a bug where the phone would stutter when magnified and unable to move around smoothly with two fingers, I even made a video demonstrating the issue. kzbin.infoqtevKd82ZK8 Then as I mentioned with the Pixel 5 having the mid-range processor, for any normal individual I'm sure it worked great. Still, when you can only text with speech-to-text and it does not respond most of the time, that phone was also very frustrating to use until the 6 came out and the Tensor solved all those problems. Lastly, you just mentioned something about the Pixel 11, but you can't sleep on the Pixel 10. Starting next year,, Google is switching from Samsung to TSMC to manufacture the Tensor chip and I think it will be lightyears faster. As someone who is legally blind in a world where Apple owns a huge part of the Accessibility market and I personally despise Apple, the Pixel's have been a godsend.

Could you also please address the front-facing camera's nighttime video quality on Pixel phones in your videos? It performs terribly, and Google has neglected to fix this for years. Unfortunately, many reviewers choose not to discuss this issue instead of pushing for change. While it's a great phone overall, it's hard to recommend considering such problems, especially at a top-tier flagship price.

I like that you said you think, unlike most people who would just state their comment as a matter of fact, I think the pixel 9 Pro XL is a much better phone than the s24 ultra. I own both phones and the only thing that disappoints me about the pixel is that it still gets a bit warm when using data for extended periods. My s24 Ultra doesn't get warm when using the phone for general use. However, on the s24 Ultra, I don't like the haptics. I think the speakers are very average. The battery life is nowhere near as good as my pixel 9 Pro XL and I think the s24 Ultra has the most overrated camera system of any flagship phone. I have a pixel 8A that I think takes much better pictures than the s24 Ultra, my iPhone 16 Pro and of course the pixel 9 Pro XL both take much better photos than the s24 Ultra and I think judging from reviews on KZbin about Chinese phones, the flagship ones all seem to have a much better camera system than the s24 Ultra. The s24 Ultra camera system is using parts from 3 to 4 years ago which is unacceptable for the price imo.​@@InsighterofTech

I'm a long-term Samsung user who has dabbled in oneplus (OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 12) and Huawei when they were in the US. The S24 Ultra was my main device but I recently decided to try pixel just because and I picked up the 9 Pro XL when it went on sale for the holiday and I have say that while it doesn't have all the features my Samsung has, I've really been enjoying it and don't miss the Samsung at all. I really can't even put my finger on what it is about this phone that's so enjoyable. I guess if I had to try, I'd say that it's just so smooth if that makes sense. I cringe when folks use that tired "It just works" line but that's the first thing that comes to mine to explain why I've been enjoying it. I also want to add that the pictures this phone takes are SO clear. The camera on my S24 Ultra worked well but I'm seeing a noticeable difference in picture quality

Agree 256 should be standard on Pro models. I was disappointed that my 9 Pro Fold is a smaller phone...then I opened it up. 😂 I'm also looking at Gemini now because I get a month free to try it. Breaking things is in Google's DNA, unfortunately. Loving my Pixel Fold so far. Easy transferring data to a new phone which was a pain for me before. With Best Buy discount and $330 trade in value for my Pixel 8 Pro, the price was about $1100. for the Fold. Happy, happy.

Had my 9pro about 2 weeks (256gb) zero complaints. Black fri/xmas deal. My 8 is my backup. Traded my 7(128gb) in for $360 refund, seamless, I'll probably keep doing this. Buy 10, keep 9pro, trade 8 etc. So I basically have the 9pro for about $600 cash. Question would you put a CAMERA glass protect piece on it? I never have had an issue with camera glass but?? Starting to use Gemini a lot but it gets it wrong maybe 1 out of 10 times. Who is Marques? Haha. :)

GPS innaccuracy by up to 300 feet! This is the problem that myself and others on reddit forums have with the pixel 9 pro XL. I have tried everything to recalibrate it! Others have swapped out phones for new ones and still no fix from Google. As an Amazon delivery driver, this phone is completely trash on route trying to deliver to houses when your blue dot is a block away from where you actually are. Why is no one else talking about this phone's major GPS problems.

Have you tried a full reflash using Chrome browser on a PC with windows/Linux or even mac? Try waze especially if you're driving since it's very accurate and drains less battery than Google maps which loses track of current location if you're on slow mobile data

Funny enough, Pixel is the only option for me. I hate ios. Been using Samsung all my life. Thought it was good...until my brother had twins. The shutter speed is garbage and even after the delayed shot, the images are blurry af. I don't want the latest Chinese phones because their back designs are too goofy and flamboyant for my taste, and I do care about my image (sorry not sorry). Phones are one thing we carry 24/7. It's like an extension of our body. I don't want my relatives or people to think I'm rocking a $250 stove of a phone (nowadays they all look the same, doesn't matter if it's $200 or $2000).

I've owned the Fold 6, 24 Ultra, and the Pixel 9 Pro. As good as the Samung devices are, i'm using the 9 Pro as my sole device. A great experience overall. For the most part they addressed the issues with previous Pixels, though it can still get pretty warm at times.

I switched from iphone back in September and i havent looked back man, the pixel is a great phone i have no issues with every day usage and the battery life is top tier, im just a regular user and its been such a pleasure to use, i dont plan on going back to iphone and i really hope i can get my hands on the pixel 9 pro fold soon. I was using Pixel 6 Pro but then noticed the 400€ exchange deal on all Pixel 9 series phone so instead of going for the 9 Pro XL, I went for base Pixel 9 as that turned out to be financially the best value at 549€ for me after exchange. I hope to buy Pixel 10 Fold or Pixel 10 Pro XL once they ditch the Samsung chips. The transition from Pixel 6 Pro helped with the modem issues and battery issues but I find the Pixel 9 a bit slower on day to day usage sometimes for some reason.

I was able to buy Samsung S24 Ultra for £770 with 256 GB storage. Even now pixel is very expensive considering their hardware and 128gb storage. Tensor chip is no where as good as Snapdragon S3. Let's not forget they have USF 3.0 storage too.

I bought Pixel 9 Pro XL 2 days ago and, to be honest, not really impressed to put it mildly. I've rocked Honor Magic6 Pro before the XL for couple of months, and Samsung S23U before that and honestly, Google phone seems to be the worst out of those I had in my hands. Today only I had 5 bugs that caused screen to freeze, screen to stop being responsive etc. and yesterday 3 times too. I had only a couple of similar situations with Magic6 Pro, and frankly none or maybe once with S23U for about 20 months that I had it. For a phone that is based and promoted around the software, my experience is that this is the worst performing software out of the bunch

I've heard similar stories to yours. Lots of reports on screen freezes and glitching. My Pixel 9 Pro XL has been flawless, I think it's just evidence that Google has terrible quality control. Almost like playing the lottery on a phone. Will it work properly or will I get a dud? Definitely warranty it and demand a new one.

2:20 Yes, the phone feels premium and has great build quality. Completely agree. The charging speeds are not premium at all, the chipset, while well-cooled this year is still competing with an 8 Gen 2, when the 8 Elite is already in some phones, 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage is budget phone at this point, and having the nerve to up the price before upping starting storage just continues to confirm what many already think: that the big G has absolutely no damn clue what they're doing when it comes to hardware! Aside from that, the things it does well, it does REALLY well!

Started my channel with a 16 pro but felt super underwhelmed by it coming from a 15 pro max. Decided to give google a fair shake again after hearing that, they've ironed out all of their issues, the modem, and the heating. I've had the 7, 8 pro, and now 9 pro. I must say the 9 pro is a huge improvement from the previous phones. Is it perfect? No, but its perfect for me. It does everything but gaming better than my previous iphone. Does the gaming matter? No. I barely even utilized the power of the SOC on an iphone. Do we really need that much power for scrolling, watching videos, qnd doing mundane tasks? Not really. Even if you game on the pixel 9 Pro, it still runs relatively cool compared to the iPhone and plays at a really good rate. It may not do 120 frames per second but it can definitely fare at 30 to 60 and runs really well. Besides, it's got a vapor chamber now and it also runs cooler than both the s24 ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Series. That in itself shows somethings gotta give. Overall very good phone and a million miles ahead of the laughable "apple intelligence" What a joke and im surprised apple didn't get sued for false advertising on the 16 launch. Pixel 9 pro is phone of year. Hands down.

I love my pixel 9 pro xl. I was fortunate enough to get the T-Mobile deal 256g for 999. I have 2 issues. Certain apps won’t load unless you restrict the phone. 2nd, my sim tray is fallen apart from swapping SIM card from s24u and my pixel . Those are my only issues.

I absolutely love my Pixel 9 Pro XL. I also have an iPhone, but I only use it because my family prefers FaceTime and iMessage. Otherwise, the Pixel is my daily driver. In fact, I recently picked up the OG Pixel Fold because I love the software experience so much. There's a special user experience with the Pixel that I don't feel when using Samsung and Apple.

I went from the iPhone 13PM to the Pixel 9 Pro XL, to the iPhone 16PM, back to the 9XL that I hadn't sold, then finally back to the 16 Pro which is where I am now. I think the Pixel looks and feels fantastic and has some great features from Google. The typing haptics are awesome. Also love the OS. However, I think some apps that are important to me (work stuff like Teams, my digital key fob for my car, and the cellular modem), are far superior on the iPhone. The key in general would fail to connect all the time, which tells me maybe the Bluetooth just isn't as capable in the pixel. The pixel would also take forever to switch mobile connection when 5g isn't available, down to 4g, and I'd have to toggle airplane mode to get the phone to actually work. Again, say what you will about the Apple ecosystem (I'm not a huge fan myself, despite being in it), but stuff (mostly) generally just works IMO, and I find a lot of apps to be a better experience compared to Android.

I started getting black lines on p9p after last update, predominantly on zoomed x5 photos, and so are a lot of other users. I remember this being a thing on p8p... really frustrating. When the image is transferred to let's say a pc, you can't see the lines in the images.. so my guess it's the software on the phone doing something?

Personally I have been enjoying the pro phone in the smaller form factor that is the Pixel 9 pro. I wish i came in blue and I wish that it had magsafe and maybe matte sides but it is certainly one of my favorite pixel phones ever

The problem with pixel is that most of the function are only available in the US and the gpu is very weak agaianst Qualcomm. Not to mention the Chinese smartphone is advancing at a rapid pace. I think this why s24 ultra is a better phone overall.

i have tried Gemini..it's not as capable as the assistant in basic tasks...it needs more work..also i have been having continual issues with Bluetooth on my p6p and my p8p. i also find the p9p and the p9pxl to be too narrow for my usage...right now my s24u is my daily driver for the foreseeable future.

I had the 6 pro and the audio was better than the 7 pro, more depth and now the 8 pro audio is great but to me it needs that iPhone richness in the lows\bass. My iPhone 8 plus and 12 pro Max audio is what I'm looking for the pixels to achieve eventually. So how is the 9 pro XL with it's audio quality. Anybody?? I am happy that the battery on the 9 pro XL seems to be on par with the iPhone and possibly Samsung now and hopefully going forward as well.

@TechOdyssey my pixel 8 pro has been struggling with my lte service here in Alaska. Where I live we don't have 5g yet. It takes sometimes multiple minutes to connect. And sometimes it won't connect at all until I airplane mode the damn thing. And my Bluetooth constantly disconnects after almost every song change... I'm still waiting for my phone. This 8 pro is about to get thrown.

For me the one major remaining complaint is the lack of an Android wide 10-bit LOG format. The hardware is likely capable. It''s the only thing that pulls me back to my iPhone 15 Pro just because the video recording is THAT much better. Otherwise I love, love, LOVE my Pixel 9 Pro XL. Hopefully they'll fix this next year.

pixels are sooo good Ive had iphones and Samsungs all my life Until i tired the pixel 6a, was blown away how good that phone was for the price, it handled everything without an issue, i then upgraded to the pixel 7 pro and still have it till this day and its still amazing. I can only imagine how good the 9 pro is. Ill hold on to my 7 pro until the wheels fall off the updates keep it running so smooth. Next upgrade will be the pixel fold for sure 👍

I have both an iPhone Pro and a Pixel 9 Pro. I think the Pixel with its camera setup looks more harmonious. It's more balanced. In practical use, I also like the Pixel best. The operating system also seems more modern, more forward-thinking. My grandparents prefer the iPhone, I prefer the Pixel.

Pixel 9pro xl was my first choice for phone shopping this year but instead i went with the Razr+ and I'm very happy with my pick. Four things that swayed me toward the Razr+ are the Snapdragon processor is more reliable then the Tensor, UFS 4.0 is double the speed of 3.1, the screen is bigger but when folded it feels smaller and easier to fit in my pockets and finally the price per spec is more reasonable then the over priced hardware of the pixel.

I agree with you love my 9 pro XL and it is 100 times better than the iphone 13 it replaced but would add one HUGE gripe and that is google needs a TRUE WORKING AIR TAG REPLACEMENT. Seriously, the phone can tell me I have an airtag in the suitcase in the car, but they cant track it or do as good a job with their own network. That should be their number one priority. They need a luggage tracker better than apple or at least as good. If they use ultra wide band, it could be better.

I think the Pixel Pro series is the most improved overall and intriguing phone of the year but Samsung is the most complete depending on your preferred use case scenerio. I will always have a Samsung Ultra and a Pixel Pro in reach. These days you don't have to upgrade these flagship phones every year or even every two years anymore.
