Pixel Buds Pro 2 Review: Now Even Better

Nice review Mark. Upgrading from the Pro (1) I find that the Pro 2 is way more comfortable to wear and much louder. As a non audiofile I feel that the sound is great. Being able to control the basic functions hands-free is very convenient.

I agree they are fine.. prior to AB testing I thought they were good but after comparing them to the sound quality of the new Samsung buds I can tell they don't have as much base or "dynamic" sound. For speech or just casual listening they are ok and have some great features

Good video the PB Buds pro original weren't that comfy for me but these ones feel better also ANC seems to better than last gen which was non existent

The thuds you hear whilst running are because the ANC isn't able to cancel the actual thud sounds and kind of makes things worse trying. Not sure if other ANC implementations are any better, or if this is just something that's fundamentally hard for ANC to deal with. Disable ANC (fully off - not transparency mode) whilst running and you'll see it's much better. Which is a shame if you wanted actual noise cancellation, but seems like the best option for now.

I found upgrades in anc, audio, transparency and the biggest upgrade is the fit. Do not trust this review, they're definitely an upgrade from the original pros

Great review. I don't own any Pixel products but may switch over from Samsung in 2025. Hopefully the 3rd generation of Pixel buds will be on the level of Samsung's earbuds or Bose's earbuds.

I bought 2 sets of these and find them very comfortable. More comfortable than my Samsung Galaxy Buds pro 3 which i also own 2 sets of. The Samsung sounds just a bit richer and the pixel buds are more comfortable. Both are great to me, i dont listen to music much so sound quality is about the same for the Podcasts that i listen to.

Can you please share your thoughts on latency while watching videos and playing games? do you hear any lipsync issues?

Haven’t played games with it but no latency issues. I watch a lot of videos and also use it daily at work for video calls

I have gone on a couple of runs with them and have noticed the same thing with the noise after adjusting them though I don't have anymore problems with them.

I unfortunately get a lot of complains about the microphone quality and as soon as I switch to the Pixel Buds 2 the other person tells me that it sounds a lot better now.

If you use Pixel Buds Pro 2 very much you may get a pressure sore from the fin that is suppose to help keep the bud from falling out of your ear like the Pixel Buds Pro. You will need to limit your wearing of the bud to a couple of hours and switch to another bud without the wing. Warning! If you get the Pixel Buds Pro 2 and discover this problem, Google won't make you whole - they offer to give you a replacement with poorly designed Pixel Buds Pro 2. How crazy is that.

The pixel buds a sits flush with your ear and you can actually wear them while lying on your side on the bed. Both pixel buds pro 1 and 2 are rather sticking out although the pro 2 diminutive small size are better and less inobtrusive

If you are using android, its a yes. Dont buy it if you are using iphone since there's no control menu for pixel buds in ios

only Gemini Advanced subscribers on Android devices can access it. The feature is already being rolled out to both Samsung and Pixel devices.

Have u tried different size tips? The medium got uncomfortable to me after an hour. Large is perfect

the originals never stayed in my ears. And yes, try different sizes for each ear. for example my left ear uses the medium and my right ear uses the large!
