I have three things to say about this battle: 1.) I think the MVP of that battle was Mordor. As an evil army, his troops were unquestionably the worst quality wise, but he still got the most kills on his team. 2,062 kills is incredible in his position, so well done to Mordor. His trolls were also very handy, and his conservative use of them made a defender victory that much harder. I have to also give props to Eriador. On his own, and especially with those ridiculous shots with his trebuchet early on, he did incredibly well, considering he was on his own attacking the Dwarves, who are imo the best faction on the defense. 2.) In terms of army layout, I think that the Dwarves were spot on, not that it's very difficult to decide how to defend with them. All you need is heavy infantry up the butthole and some artillery, and I would argue he should've scrapped the crossbows for more heavy inf. Gondor is a way better skirmishing faction than the Dwarves (not that that is actually saying much), but Gondor I think should've invested more in the Ithilien Rangers and the Archers, and I was really surprised to see that he didn't bring any Fountain Guard, especially on Edoras with that final chokepoint. I don't honestly think bringing all the Swan Knights was a good idea; I think more Fountains and Citadel Guard would have served him much better, although the skirmishers would've helped even more. Imo Mordor ha the best army comp. No criticisms whatsoever there. The Elves, on the other hand, I think had the worst army layout. He had a lot of spearmen and swordsmen, and nowhere near enough archers. Considering he was teamed up with Mordor, who brought a shitload of all the Uruk units, and considering he's playing as the Elves, he should've had more skirmishers. I think a unit of either Smiths or Mithlond Nobles is paramount when you play as the Elves, because those two units are arguably the best units in the game, and they will shred anything save for pikes, trolls, and beasts like the Mumakil. Eriador did fine as well, especially considering his success by himself attacking the Dwarves. 3.) I was very glad to see no major mistakes from anybody in this match. Save for using their ammo way too quickly and deciding to not hold with his Guards and Iron Guard at the same chokepoint in the final stage of the battle, which I consider to both be minor messups. I say this because a.) everybody used their ammo way too quickly, so it nulls the effects, and b.) by that stage in the battlle, it was very unlikely the Dwarves and the Gondorians would've won. Other than that, great play from all involved. These Third Age battles are what keep me subscribed to your channel, Apollo, and I must say this battle in particular was great. Thanks for uploading it onto your channel! I can say that at least for me (although I'm positive not just for me), this was a great way to spend an hour of my life. No regrets whatsoever.

Instead of the weak pikes and the Iron Guard that do not have armor piercing he should have gone for halberds. They have one of the strongest and quickest animations plus very strong dwarf stats plus armor piercing. Dump the pikes and the guardians get 6 halberds and some hard hitters with piercing. The elite Arnor troops and also trolls rely mostly on their heavy armor, this is their weakness. The Kazad Dum Retakers have a very high attack plus armor piercing which makes them very good troll killers. they have a mediocre animation though.

Hi there! Something i'd really like to see in third age is a historical battle series with reversed roles of good and bad, for example: Helm's Deep Uruks defend, Rohan attacks, Rhun's cavalry come to save the defenders and trolls come instead of Ents. At Minas Tirith you have orcs defending agains't the hordes of Gondor, with rhunic cav coming instead of rohan and elven archer cav instead of Mumakils, instead of the ghost army coming to save gondor you have a swarm of nazgûls/black nümenorians/mumakils coming as the last ditch effort to save the defenders. I think it would be really fun to see!!!!!

Finally at the end of the video and I got to say that for the most part the dwarf and go for players really did well in when it came to working together and supporting each other during the battle some mistakes were made like not keeping enough archers in reserve or artillery in reserve for the late game would have helped a lot during the final stand. Overall the defenders did well together.

If you can at some point, some siege battles on Beginning of the End Times would be great, this mod is awesome, lots of improvements over the original Call of Warhammer. For someone who enjoys Medieval 2, and its siege battles, this is a must have (and overall a better game than Total War Warahmmer itself, this is not an overstatement). Sorry for the reminder if you already planned a few !

Pixelated, test this theory out. Trolls are infantry and can be single shot by a ballista, then can they be single shot by fire arrows. Because if the fire arrow crits a infantry unit, the infantry unit burns and die's

I think i can explain this somehow so:mordor decided to attack edoras while rohan was busy but gondor marched an army to defend edoras. Dwarves were good allies with gondor so they marched an army to help out gondor. Meanwhile gondor was in war with the elves and elves saw an appertunity to whipe out 2 enemies:gondor and the dwarves. The free pepoles of eriador were allied with the wlves so they had to send an army to help so elves wont get mad. And so it began
