Finally!!! We get a defense where the good guys win, haven't seen one those in a while. Honestly, I would just be cool with a good guy win regardless. Thank you so very much Apollo, and tell Jackie the same. The best part was that you guys played my 2 fav factions. Also, great commentary and that sad last elven charge was really good, use more of those in the future they make the replays so much better. AP is the most useful thing against Trolls, for example, crossbows and Javies are super effective :) same goes for the Axemen and similar units :)

Battler Evil Well, yeah, but axemen have low armour, so theyre wery weak to archer crossbow and javie fire :) I feel like the ultimate thing are well positioned crossbows :)

Very true, only thing that beats AP damage is higher normal damage, a crossbow unit on a hill supported by a strong heavily armored spearmen is lethal to any enemy, even trolls.

Battler Evil Trolls are most vulnerable to javies, one volley even from the cheaper ones kills like 3 or 4 :)

He did Lord of the Rings right, despite Christopher's complaint. Christopher doesn't realize a movie isn't like a book. You can't take the time to include everything and in return REDUCE action. That's not how it works. But Peter did nothing more than tear the Hobbit apart. It pained me to see the quality plummet at a 90 degree angle from Lord of the Rings to the Hobbit.

Apollo, to answer your doubt, Yes Armor Piercing troops kills Trolls fast, Trolls in Third Age Total War actually counts as Heavy Infantry so Spears and Pikes are actually useless against them, to kill them fast you can either use AP units or jist focus them with arrows

It's so frustrating that the last line they defended was so low down that canyon if they went further up the balista wouldn't have the angle to attack only the catapults but their balista would be able to hit them n take them out

Really sad to see Isenguard lose after getting so close to victory. If only those dam orcs from Mordor wouldn't break at the drop of a hat they likely could have won. AP is a very good counter to trolls e.g Smiths of Eregion As an advice if you have a unit being charged by trolls then use loose spacing as it ruins the trolls charge and it surrounds them.
