The ones in blister cards also came with interchangeable hands and various blades and ninja stars. Too bad you don't have the stand for Raphael: our has got a pole with a peg, but there's no hole in the base. I was wondering if that was a common mistake. By the way, I prefer actual "toys" but these action figures were perfectly made.

Dude! All of these figure look BEAUTIFUL!! Except for April, what is it with April O' Neil and multi-colored jumpsuits?! Why can't she be dressed like a normal human being? Sorry for the small rant, it's just that minor detail/gripe just bugs me SO MUCH!

I've been wondering for years what happened to the yellow and green April variants. I'm glad(?) to finally know they were cancelled instead of just really hard to find. I would've loved a yellow April but the blue will do too. I was able to secure the villains pack on eBay while the show was still going on. It's awesome. The addition of Krang is a nice tough.

The Mirage Comics continued to come out after the tv show debuted ending in the late 90s. It's nice to have comic book turtles to go with that incarnation. We now have figures for the old TV Show, Comics as well as the toyline which came out back in 1988 and was how many of us were introduced to them.

One of the very rare situation where the KO versions are much better than the originals! I have the KO versions with the coloured bandana, and they are absolutely amazing! I would even go as far as call them perfection, even their articulations and the paint job are much better on the KO, and as a huge NECA fan, i must say that i was very very surprised! I got them for the coloured bandana, but i ended up being extremely happy and they are now my favorite versions, the colours on the bandana makes them look so cool even though its not really accurate. And for the price, they are a must gave, even for the fans who already own the original versions

The Shredder, Foot Elite, and Foot Ninjas were like my toy holy grails. I was so sad when they all got canned. The moment I heard NECA was releasing these as a NYCC exclusive was extremely lucky to be around when they went up for presale before the convention. To finally hold these figures is just the sweetest of victories at long last that they've finally got released.

I went to school to study comic books in Vermont, and one of my most cherished memories was when we went to Northampton to tour Mirage Studios, before the Nickelodeon buy-out.. After the tour, we were guided into a small conference room for a talk from Peter Laird, and the table we sat at was covered in turtles merch - including a huge line of NECA comic turtle box sets that we all went home with. I had him sign mine, and to this day it's the only toy I still have in the box. It's amazing how generous Mr. Laird was with his time and money - not only to talk to us and give us amazing toys, but also the grant his foundation gave to independent comics artists for YEARS.

I just got a complete set of 4 off Ebay for $52 US. Unless you had the originals side by side... these guys are perfect. They are retail quality and after 10 years... I finally have my dream figs. Now to make a diorama to display them!

They gave away NECA Shredders!? I gotta get my hands on one! Even if I have to cut off a finger! I'm sure Dan already knows this, but to anyone who missed out on these figures, there are very well made Chinese bootlegs with cartoon accurate bandannas. The only things those figures lack are the ab crunch, the stands, and any other accessories aside from the turtles' signature weapons.

I kinda want the colored headband bootlegs, my original Leonardo has major issues like the torso separated under the shell and constantly wants to fall out, and the swords are always breaking which I keep super gluing back together. But they are literally the best turtles ever produced otherwise.

If anyone doubts me on this point... just watch the video and look at Raf's chest... notice its shiny while the others are all mat finished? Only Dan himself could confirm this part... but I'm betting that chest piece is also much more ridged than the rest.. and the bandana is much more ridged as well.... the mold for these were stolen in china and they have been making them ever since.. this is why in box authentic 2008 turtles are worth so much today.

nice video review again :D. I think you can tell it always so well. You keep me interested. The way you talk isn't boring you know. Sometimes you have people who are telling a story, which is also a nice story, but the way they tell stuff just makes it boring. From the beginning on, you always grab me and i am interested, not bored at all etc. As well with like toy hauls.. i really love to hear you tell the stories and show off what you bought etc :D. @@TheLegendOfRandy the "cheap" bootlegs are actually from the same factory,same molds. They just have the multicolored headbands. They were most likely made after hours,neca didn't have good security back then,that's why those even exist. Guess you can thank bad security for a bootleg version of these. :/

The mouser legs move. Yours are just really tight. Try using a blow dryer to loosen it. The legs should be able to move up and down.

dan my mousers heads are ball jointed and there legs swivel, there a little stiff due to the paint so be careful but they are articulated too a degree and not just static as you say in your video 😊

i cant for the review over the newly released foot. I got mine in earlier this week, my problem is with shred.s shin guards, they seem offset and his right knee also looks oddly a little to the right.

H34D CRAB No they're not. They came in both the tubes and blister, which was the deluxe version. How do I know? Because I bought them when they released. The tubes were easier to find in stores, whereas the blisters you usually bought online.

Afaik, the official ones also came in tubes (When sold one by one), but ALL bootleg turtles were in nothing but tubes.

no there was some official tube figures released by NECA but they are so few its just easier to look for clam shell package which are definite official and the box sets are official. the black and white sets were never bootlegged. the market is so saturated with the tube bootlegs its just easier that way

Get the bootleg set. Same quality as the original ones,its the same mold. They just have the colored bandannas. If you dont like the individual bandannas,then they have a bootleg red set aswell.
