This He-Man figure actually does look really good! I wasn’t that impressed when I first saw it, but I’m coming around. His face on the alternate head looks like the way He-Man should look.

Is it just me, or does the unhelmeted head with a shoulder pads left on give a bit of a 87 movie vibe? Add a cape and you’ve got a Lundgren variant. Also that is definitely the best power sword rendition I’ve seen to date

I’m loving the whole Masterverse line. I have several now and they’re all fantastic…..and I was never a huge fan of MOTU as a kid. I had them, but they were not something I had to own as a kid.

It really isn’t, I think the initial shock of something different really split the fans but months later, it’s a nice pleasant head sculpt which is better in hand than on any videos

When the Masterverse line was announced I was not really fond of it. I thought it would never be able to compete with the Classics line but after I had bought Faker who I really liked as a figure I was finally lost. I had to get them all. Barbarian Heman is a wonderful figure, the only issue I have is his helmet which is not correctly attached to the head and makes my Heman look a bit goofy. I exchanged it with the non damaged head of Faker, which makes hin the best (custom) Heman!

I really want the Masterverse line to do an entire series of MOTU prototypes like the early version of He-Man at 3:01. Formo Toys' Barbaro was going to use that design, but Mattel issued a cease and desist that forced them to change it, which is unfortunate because I really want a figure like that.

I love this He-man!!!! Wish that helmet could come off though. I took the Masterverse Faker He-Man head, painted the eyes blue & put it on the Revelation He-Man & that worked out better well!!!

The alternate un-helmeted head sculpt looks a LOT like the Ralph McQuarrie concept art for the 1987 movie. Look it up and do a side by side comparison. You'll see what I mean.

The Masterverse Revelation and New Eternia figures have become some of my favorites, I'm even toying (pardon the pun) with the idea of getting rid od all of the Origins figures, some of which are still new in package, because I like the style, look, and size of these so much more than the Origins. However, Isn't the Super 7 all seven inch and better looking as well?

It is possible to remove the boots, but first you gotta soften the plastic with hot water or a hair dryer before popping off the boots.

It's a neat design. Though imho I think the helmet would look better sans the horns and gems and in the same colouring as the pauldrons as well as having tufts of hair peaking out the front to keep in line with the hairline of the alternate head.

You can use the shield that comes from the 1st He-Man Revelation figure or Faker Revelation. But you gotta remove his left gauntlet before sliding his forearm through the shield strap.

yeah all of these (along with Origins & the kiddie CGI ones) are currently doing horrible at retail... always on sale, so never pay full retail $20/30+ usd.. not worth it imo consider the lacking QC paintjob etc.. $10 and under and it's reasonable budget fun for mods etc.. anything more just not worth the $ imo

I wish someone in Mattel would suggest making these into 12 inch figures. I love the design, the articulation and the sculpt of the body. Their head sculpts are getting much better than initially and the way you can remove parts of the armor and different head sculpt to change the figure drastically is a great option. Btw, do you guys know amazon has the first he man and skeletor up for $10 right now? I bought 5 he-man and 3 skeletors. Don't know what for yet but they're so dang cheap, lol.

Mondo is doing 12-inch MOTU but they're expensive and seem to sell out fast. I guess you can customize one of your He-Men into Wun-Dar. Skeletors, maybe turn one into Disco Skeletor and one into Leo Skeletor?

@@WiiMan25 Yes, never liked the style of the first Mondo He-man and after Pixel Dan's review with its articulation it was a definite no. I feel that if this Mattel figure had been sized up, it would have been around $80 with a far superior articulation range. Do it, Mattel!!

I'm just not digging these figures. The hair looks like a wig and the face looks weird, like he's some sort of puffy face, rosy cheeked alcoholic, post plastic surgery He-Man. And I'm hating the lack of black wash in the armor. I suppose they are saving money on paint application by casting in colored plastic, but the overall look is too cheap to me.

It was actually a costume designer for opera writer Wagner who designed the helmets in this style because realistic helmet, Viking or not, would have looked too plain and boring. Because, you know, on a helmet worn in battle, you don't want anything that catches an opponent's blade, gets stuck to it and allows your opponent to a) rip off your helmet or b) have an additional lever to break your neck.

I won't be buying anything in the Masterverse line so I hope they won't actually make anything appealing and that it all stays mainly in the Revelation world. If I want modern twists I find Origins or Mondo itches that scratch, or Tweeterhead and custom statues.
