I just tried this for a real estate sky replacement, but the sky was a lot more gray than blue so I used Blend If with the Gray filter. Worked great. Thanks so much!

Once you get the layer with the Blend If and the Mask the way you like, Right Click and Select 'Convert to Smart Object' and your layer is a clean transparency. Or, you can add a blank layer above the Blend If layer, merge it down and have a clean transparent layer. By clean, I mean it will stay a transparent layer. Thank you for sharing your expertise!

Oh my weird, that was way easy! I have a cutout of an old stingray corvette thatnis kinda blueish, but also trending towards purple, which I need to remove and make all one co.or blue- gonna try this method when I get home!
