This is an awesome Effect, and I love how you were clear in your title "transform Photo to Painting". Some might think that this is how Digital Painting is made. I spend hundreds of hours to learn anatomy and paint from scratch even when the end result sometimes look exactly like the reference (in case of photo studies). People should know the difference. Anyway, I love your tutorials a lot, you share a lot of awesome tricks which I use to make the final result look better.

Hey Bhai! I know this is 8 months old, but here's something awesome I found out, when doing this: You can make a simple layer above the picture you plan to make a painting of and then press "sample all layers" with the Mixer brush. That way the "painting is only added to the new layer and you can switch the photo on/of easily to look at your progress! A nice little addition to your already great tutorial, I feel!

Really enjoyed this. Thank you very much......but curious to know how you would paint more mature skin. Would the smudge tool just rub out lines on the face ?.
@ricbulow2 жыл бұрын
@@shelleylittle1642 I personally do not use the smudge tool, but the mixer brush. If using the mixer brush and you follow the lines on the face like brush strokes you should make it work well.
