I have been using photoshop professionally for over 22 years. I do everything from "muscle memory" (I dont even think about finding shortcut keys) But there are so many new features and changes to the tools over the years that it is easy to get stuck in the "old ways" (I still press H to move the canvas instead of the Hold Space - DERP!) So I decided to watch this video series in the hopes I would pick up new tricks, and I wasn't disappointed, only lesson one and I already picked up some tricks. I used to fiddle around a lot with photoshop a few years ago and editing my sims 4 screenshots and posting them (good times lol) and I recently wanted to get back into doing that bc it was my biggest hobby. I’m really excited to watch this series to get better with this app because I was always so happy with my work but I KNOW I can do better and I’m excited to learn! The way you describe is absolutely perfect!

Great teaching techniques. One nuanced one, where you say something like "What does the move tool do?" and you add with a subtle this-is-easy tone "Move" you not only teach the tool but also send a tactic message that Photoshop while appearing overwhelming and mysterious actually contains a lot of very straightforward and logical attributes
