25:47 for bedrock edition players - in bedrock you actually can get multiple different trial explorer maps from one cartographer! you have to go to the trial chamber you have a map for first, but if you explore it and then return to the cartographer you can buy a new map that should be for a different trial chamber from the same villager :D

Infested doesn't spawn silverfish when the mob dies. instead, its a 10% chance to spawn every time the mob takes damage.

I completely agree. Having Smite V on an axe is a major advantage in the Trial Chambers, especially as you are able to one shot most freshly spawned (undead) mobs before they target you :D

Be careful of your full netherite, when I died in an ominous trial, a zombie picked up and wore my armor, and once I finally got into a place it couldn't reach me and punched it to death, my armor disappeared with it like the armor they spawn with. I know it was mine because it had mismatched armor trims, not just copper like the spawned ones

I was able to get breach V and Density V on librarian trades in bedrock. Also, if any of the zombies/skeletons pick up your gear if you die, they will not drop it when you come back to kill them.

Regarding the items they pick up, if its a zombie you can turn it drowned and (at least on bedrock) they will drop everything they had as zombie (including nice trimmed armour).

I have been a fan of the game for years now. Started in the 1.14 updates. I am 16k days in my Mojang realm @1.5 gigs now. The rail has become very large going out 100k blocks from spawn. Survival mode. Extensive rail system infrastructure that connects villages. I have also been following YOU Pixel ever since the first day I started (on another YT account). I fought the wither boss using your guide, I have to say, that was a bigger battle for me, he was a force to deal with in Bedrock and tore my world to shreds, lol Thanks to you for your guides. BTW I am 57 Yo.

Tip for you, keep your chestplate on hotbar slot 1. If stuff gets hairy you can quick swap to your chestplate, and likewise if you need a quick getaway or discover you forgot to equip your elytra before jumping off a cliff you can equip quickly and be on your way. Swapping to chestplate midair will also cancel your elytra, meaning you can pull off some cool aerial maneuvers, or save yourself from wall splatting

The SMP I play on started with a really small world border with no village, so the emeralds from the trial chambers have been an absolute godsend enabling us to to trade with the wandering trader and get materials otherwise unobtainable. Plus the mangrove in the entrance to the chambers gave us propagules. Though despite starting a new world, after one member took the copper bulbs from the chambers we now have random mobs spawning all over the place, creepers and endermen causing lots of bother

Similarly the diamond armour not dropping from skeletons. On my world (Bedrock) i got a diamond helmwr with flow pattern (how i cpuld tell it was NOT mine. I also died and my armour was gone. So maybe one picked up my helmet and switched them or something? Could be a bug.

My first trial chamber gifted me a silk touch book and one of the armour trims. Very impressive! I was surprised to find a zombie spawner very by as well! I was confused when I heard mobs that weren't from the trial spawners! 😂

Btw y'all, I have noticed that the % chance of getting ominous keys seems to be much higher when you do them with at least 2 players. When doing them single player I found I was getting food all the time, and could go through the whole chamber with 2 dozen spawners and get 2 keys. When I went back through with a friend we got keys from at least one spawner in every room. This was consistent in multiple runs.

It would be fun to bring on a friend to run these to show how multiplayer works. I ran one with other players yesterday and it seems like it's possible for a spawner to not "see" one of the players and not drop a key dor them. I assume it happened because we were in a room of lots of levels and the player didnt get on the right level during the fight. But it would be interesting to know the parameters of that. Plus how it works when only one of the multiple players has the ominous effect, how do you make sure the ominous effect is what triggers the spawner (if you haven't runit normally prior to triggering the effect) Thanks for the vid! I love this series so much

I'm on about 200ish days in my world. I play on PS4. My first ominous event I got 2 heavy cores. I got the achievements also, so it was all legit :). Now wind burst will take forever especially if I want it on both of my maces. I was so excited and full of energy after that.

Oh my god, I did the ominous vaults yesterday with friends and the first thing that got out for me was a heavy core. I knew it wasn’t a common items since none of my friends got it from the 5 vaults we opened, but I didn’t know it was that rare!

One minor correction: while Oozing, Weaving, and Wind Charged all spawn their associated hazards (slime, webs, and wind bursts) on the mob's/player's death, Infested instead gives the mob/player a 10% chance to spawn silverfish each time they take damage (which could be on death, but could be while they're still alive as well). Also, they finally gave cobwebs a proper sound in this update, which I'm thankful for!

I found a good use for the mace, if you jump and then wind charge right below you and then hit a mob real close to you with a mace with the wind charge enchantment it will launch you into the air and then you can get multiple mobs very quickly becuase you can one shot them

correction they can drop the gear 😅 i have a copper trimed chest plate droped by a skeleton. also if you turn the zombies into drowned they drop the gear. set up a zombie one before activation with a ominous bottle with a hopper under where you drown them l. 😊

You can sit next to omni vault and watch the items cycle inside and once you see heavy core slam the key in you can get it in time if fast or just guess and click key after watching vault for awhile and no heavy core cause once you hit key the things you see through it are your loot rewards

This is the update I finally committed to a world I found after the first 30 minutes, settling in a small pocket of swamp with the new Bogged, interspersed with dark oak and old growth birch forests, surrounded by beserk windswept savannah cliffs sprouting from the surrounding oceans. The acacia trees are covered in snow and share space with spruce trees too. I've never seen anything quite like it in Minecraft before and I am T H R I L L E D

It's something like a 7.5% drop chance, so the odds aren't quite as steep as I thought, the average is about 1/13. 30 is rough, but hopefully you'll find one soon! Once you've got keys, I really recommend the stealth approach to later trial chambers. You can speedrun through them if you don't have to fight a bunch of mobs.

It's a bit like obtaining your first wither skeleton skull. You can get lucky, but if you're Skizzleman, you will have to kill a hundred or so wither skeletons first.

I had one with unbreaking and mending but it got destroyed when I made the slime farm, and since then I just haven't made the effort to replace it. It also makes videos like this more exciting if there's a bit of jeopardy, although that definitely wasn't on purpose

I guess I got super lucky, I got the heavy core after only 2 or 3 vaults. Also, you can disable the spawners with a few blocks placed above them. They light up, but nothing spawns. It might have to do with clearing out the blocks below it too, but I’ve been stripping my first trial chamber for parts and was getting annoyed at the cave spiders coming at me every 30 min, so I’ve managed to turn them off now.

Important PSA for when you get to talking about Wind Burst. Bedrock edition currently has a much rarer chance of getting it, over 1 in 40 ominous vaults on average (about 8+ whole trial chambers per single level of Wind Burst). IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED to get this enchantment in 1.21.0, with vaults not being usable later on all failed attempts beyond collecting the other rarities will only harm you later on. However it does still spawn, it's just very likely you won't find it. Per structure it's much rarer than finding the Silence armor trim! Be warned, this enchantment will burn you out if you try to get it, let alone maximizing it.

@pixlriffs im looting this structure for a week now i notice and i discovered that : When you want to open a vault you can see inside the vault a loot loop ➰ and when you open the vault you will get everything that showed up inside of it , so me and my friend we where hunting the good loot as soon as you can see a good one open the vault, if you are fast enough you can get what ever you want

I accidentally found a trial chamber directly under a village. I drank an ominous bottle in the chamber and then ascended to the surface. It did NOT trigger a pillager raid for me. I'm not sure why.

out of curiosity, is there a reason you don't enchant your shield? I know it's cheap but I like not having to keep making more, especially because I personally like decorating my shields (I've only started watching this recently so forgive me if you've already gone over this in a previous episode) also I think the game's trying to tell you to trim your armor with all the Flow trims you got :p

I'm sorry but the loot, even from an ominous vault, just isn't that impressive. You went in with full Netherite, but pretty much everyone is going to go in with at least full diamond and most likely at least moderately enchanted. That means the only real point of this is a moderate amount of fun and getting the core. That's just not good enough. Taking on a trial chamber should be an experience that gives you the potential of gear and item upgrades, but that's just not the case. The quality of the gear should be at least of the value you would see in the End. Much like the Ancient City, the rewards just 100% are not worth the effort except just for the initial experience. In a couple of months, the only reason people will be going to these trial chambers are to strip it for copper and tuff blocks.

I disagree. You should be able to complete this dungeon when you're at iron level. And if you do, this dungeon would be huge for early game progression. And in addition there's the heavy core. This dungeon is not supposed to add a new deep dark, or late game progression. It's supposed to fill the gap in progression if you're main focus is adventuring. Rather than just mining or farming. I think it's a fantastic update.
