Someone says, "Hey, why don't we just spread our mac & cheese food product onto one of our frozen dough discs and send it through the conveyor belt oven and bingo! A new menu item!!! When I worked there back in the 90's, they had a slightly higher paid "dough maker" come in and make all the dough fresh every day. The switched to having stoned delivery drivers tossing frozen discs into pans in the early 2000's.

Try the new Dr Oetker Pizza Bolognese e Formaggi if you can. I thought it was pretty good on sale for 3 bucks. Lots of the seasoned beef and sauce. One of the better ones IMO.

The "brain trust" behind this menu item cannot possibly care about (or even like!) food. Otherwise the idea would be nixed right away - carbs on top of more carbs, and both of low quality? Crazy. And as Jesse was alluding to, the only possible way I could see this working, in addition to a much higher quality mac and cheese and a good pizza crust, is with a flavourful pizza sauce with lots of herbs and garlic. Or, provide a sauce like that for drizzling/dipping. Maybe I should offer my services to Pizza Hut as a recipe consultant 🤣🤣
