Pizza pockets - pizza pie for kids - Pizza dough with milk - طريقة عمل فطائر جيوب البيتزا

Pizza pockets or pizza pies are the pizza inside the dough. All kids love pizza and this pizza pies are just perfect variation for lunch boxes. The dough with Italian mix of herbs make it different. The filling for pizza can be any at your choice.
This recipe will serve 24-26 pizza pockets (pizza pies).
Ingredients:
Dough:
2 cups (460 ml) of warm milk + 1 cup (230 ml) of warm water
6 tbsp. (90ml) of olive oil or vegetable oil
1 1/2 teaspoons of active yeast
1 tbsp. of sugar
1 teaspoon of Salt
1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon of Italian mix herbs ( can be substitute with any favorite herbs)
6 cups of all purpose flour + 1/2 cup for kneading
Pizza stuffing
1/2 cup Pizza sauce
1 cup bell pepper
1 cup sausages
1 cup olives ( black, green or Kalamata)
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 cup mozzarella
If you decide to add tomatoes or onions to your stuffing, drain excess liquid to avoid a soggy pizzas.
1. Combine all together the liquid ingredients, milk, water, oil and add sugar, yeast and salt.
2. Start to add gradually flour, Italian mix of herbs( you can add zaatar) and baking powder. Mix well and when you add all 6 cups of flour, it is time to kneads the dough till it smooth. It takes 5-7 minutes.
3. Cover dough with plastic wrap to make a needful humidity for dough to raise. Let it rest for an 1-1.5 hours or till double in size.
4. Combine together all the ingredients for stuffing for Pizza. Don't make a stuffing too wet to avoid a soggy pizza inside.
5. Divide the dough to 24 equal parts, make in ball shapes. It helps to make a round shape later.
Put a tablespoon of stuffing inside and close it just as shown on the video.
6. Preheat the oven at 180 C - 350 F. Brush the pizza pies with egg yolk+1tbsp. of milk. Bake for 14-16 minutes till it is done. Make it golden color with 1 minutes of top heat.
Let it cool down and enjoy the pizza pockets. Your kids going to love it!
