This is incredible. Been trying to figure out how to emulate the sound you get on yearnings of the wind and didn’t realize you had a video perfectly explaining it! Miles beyond any other video I found

That is awesome, I never really thought about how palm muting was borrowed from violin pizzicato! But that makes sense! Love this arrangement as well!

One of my favourite techniques generally. I love when violinists use it. It's so good that we can also play it on the guitar. ;) The guitar sound of pizz. is different yet beautiful.

My favorite is the pizz. with the finger on the treble strings. I use it all the time🤘

I heard an arrangement of yours recently that used a ton of pizz. What was it? It was really nice

I had self taught myself a very basic understanding and execution of pizzacto or palm-muted (as my peasant self calls it haha!) tones, but this video helped broaden that knowledge substantially!

I can emulate the sound of bowing, too. I simply run tremolo Bumblebee fast using one finger, any finger, no nail, flesh. I can emulate a string orchestra running several tremolos at once. Otherwise our playing style is very similar. Vltava by Smetana is my best, emulating harp and bows.

Great tutorial! I was wondering, how would I indicate pizz. for the thumb with “normal” for the fingers? I’m writing an arrangement with the melody ringing out and a muted bass arpeggio-pattern.

Us Electric Guitar Players are very familiar with this technique, nice to see it's transferable to the Classical Guitar ... I'll be exploring this more when I next pick up my Nylon 😎👍
