Part of my dream is becoming a PJ. Never found much information on preparation and then found this channel. Much appreciated man

So is BA Prep going to stay only available to NPS? I feel like it would make sense to allow someone trying to cross train into PJ to attend the prep course. Otherwise doesn't that set anyone cross training at a huge disadvantage considering all the other candidates get 8 weeks to learning the drills and what to expect at A&S?

5'5" this guy is like a quarter stick of dynamite crossed with a hobbit. Your know, furry feet and stout hearts! I love it man. I am 6'6" and I look up to this guy all day. Selfless service epitomized.

As far as CRO schools go, are they trained in any sort of triage or medical trauma response that makes them a viable combat medic? Or is that the primary job of the PJ? and the CROs are just there as the personnel recovery/CSAR specialist?

A CRO will typically have training in at least Tactical Combat Casualty Care, but if you want to do medicine then just be a PJ. In addition CROs will pass radio communications and talk with the operations center for coordination on the objective

What do you think about a PA becoming a CRO?

If I'm a certified TCCC and TECC, a 10 minute 500M swimmer, a solid shooter, climber and athlete - with 6 years as a USAF Reserves jet mechanic - would I be able to try out?

Yes as long as you are less than 39 years old

What if you are reserves fail indoc, and get dropped? What happens?
@HowToBeAPJ6 жыл бұрын
You can apply to a different reserve unit, obviously no guarantee they will take you. You would need to show them that you have overcome whatever obstacle was holding you back
@OnTaRgEt166 жыл бұрын
So if you don't apply to a unit, you would be separated from the military?
@HowToBeAPJ6 жыл бұрын
If you are reserves, then you would be going to indoc on TDY orders and not as a PCS, if you fail then you would go back to the reserve unit. Then if they decide not to keep you, they would most likely give you the option to either separate or crosstrain
