The most notorious m&m requests came from David Lee Roth of Van Halen and he had a reason. He put it in their specs for stage building, and if they didn't sort the M&Ms he knew the place didn't read it and wouldn't play until they could verify the stage was safe. It was safety protocol.

I met Andre at the Illinois state fair when I was a kid and got a picture of him choking me. His hands were so big he actually choked me and I def don’t think he meant too lmao will never forget that day even tho I don’t watch wrestling anymore

There was an interesting point about bands and such making ridiculous demands. It was someone who said it's almost a check on how well the venue has followed the list of requests. So when you come to the dressing room and there isn't a bowl of blue M&Ms, you know they didn't read the list and now you have to wonder if they did anything else on it, like all the equipment you need, etc.

There's als a bunch of stories of stage collapses and electrical faults causing injury or death to performers and audiences (think electrical fire and overcrowded venue). Not only a check to make sure you have the requisite equipment for the gig, but also an indicator of attention to detail which could be an indicator of whether it's worth checking their general safety etc.

She'll be "Ozzy Osbourne's daughter" more than anything. And that always really stuck with me, seems really relevant to part of the convo they were having. I can't imagine how many times Andre the Giant's daughter was asked "So, are you going to go into/have any interest in wrestling?" just because of her blood.

How can you not love wrestling from that time? The 80s 90s and 00s were the best time to be a wrestling fan.
