So I was in a lockup right after Katrina and it was 6 2-story pods in a Hexagon with a watch-tower in the middle. If your bunk was in the right position on the bottom floor you could see directly across into another pod (only other pod you could see into the way it was setup). The pod across from mine was the 'Punk Pod' and they would do peep-shows at night for a couple guys in our pod since they could see them across the way from each-other bunks. My bunk was on the top floor of the pod (which did not offer this view THANK GOD) and one night I woke up and had to piss and the bathrooms/showers were downstairs. I started walking down the stairs half-asleep and I heard a few guys yell out from under me 'LINE OF FIIIIRE!!!!!'. Since I was keen to what was going on I just stopped in my tracks, turned around and went back to my bunk to avoid life-long PTSD. The weirdest nastiest shit happens in jail/prison man I swear... I was like 'Fuck man, I smoke weed. I did not sign up for this shit'.

Bro the best peices of advice I can give anybody who is about to do some time or is at the start of doing a prison sentence is: don't make eye contact with anybody, try your best to walk with perfect posture and mind your business. Also never accept any "gifts"(food, coffee, hygiene, etc.). These are some necessary rules for survival in any prison.
