A calm, systematic and very informative video that gives a clear idea of how the pedal works. I really appreciated the visualizations of what P1 and P2 knobs do in different modes. Thanks a lot!

Thank you for a very informative walkthrough. And as a Norwegian, I can say that your pronunciation of etterslep is pretty good.

Why aren't all pedal walkthroughs done like this? When I want to know what a pedal does, I just want the same loop and have someone walking through the settings as you have done. Thank you. Fantastic job.

@@AaronRusch This almost looks like a "BAKLENGS Plus", would you say that's accurate? BAKLENGS may be my favorite pedal ever. These guys (this guy?) do incredible work. I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't completely grok what the "LOOP" knob does hahah. These things are like inspiration machines, I can sit there and play with the knobs for hours while bizarre ambient noise that no longer even resembles guitar swells around me.

@@AaronRuschwell my Ct5 purchase fell through much to my disappointment. Got sold out from under me even though i told him we had a serious deal, guess he couldn’t wait (was on Reverb) he was even going to upgrade it to the Nightly firmware. So….hahaha Serious question thought… they are made in Norway?. .what kind of power supply if any did they send you? Isn’t the EU on a different voltage standard?. . thanks in advance for your input.

Great video, once more, Aaron! I'm a proud owner of Baklengs, Fabrikat, Draume and Feber and your Videos helped me so much to get clearer about all the functions. So... Pladask pedals have a real unique and recognizable sound and so has this pedal. But while listening I was thinking "do I need it or does Fabrikat cover a lot of the sounds of the Etterslep?" (in addition of Draumes Reverb.) in fact Etterslep seems easier to control or get hands on than Fabrikat with its 20 algorithms. What's your opinion? Is it worth to have both? Sorry, kind of a stupid question.... Thanx Markus
@thehangmansaxe Жыл бұрын
Excellent question! I am of the understanding that the Etterslep is the continuation of the discontinued Fabrikat.
@AaronRusch Жыл бұрын
Hi Markus! That’s a great question, I’d ask the exact same thing :) Personally, I find the ETTERSLEP more accessible and easy to use. I really like the Modulation and the TDL algorithm-I have the modulation turned on almost all the time. I am experimenting with an expression pedal to control the CLK and I like the insanity I’m getting out of that. I feel like I can do more with the ETTERSLEP than I can with the FABRIKAT, and I get more sounds out of it. To answer your question, I think it depends on how you currently use the FABRIKAT, and what algorithms you spend time with. There’s absolutely some crossover with the sounds that you can get out of the two pedals. I’d focus on the Modulation, the TDL, the CLK, and the bypass modes of the ETTERSLEP to guide your decision, as those are the features that really set this pedal apart from the FABRIKAT, in my opinion. I hope that helps! I know it’s tough to make this kind of choice :)

Thanks Aaron. Just by watching your demo it seems more accessible to me. Not that I have problems with Fabrikat, it's just that, if I don't use it constantly I keep forgetting about the settings... And I don't use Bank 2 with the tape algorithms so much because I find them similar to the stuff I get from some of my Chase bliss audio pedals. But of course I have fun with Fabrikat. No question. Probably have to get both and compare a bit directly and then decide if I need both of them. It's a Neverending story.... 😅

This pedal processes incoming audio in reverse only..or am i hearing this wrong?
@AaronRusch Жыл бұрын
Hi John, all three algorithms will reverse the audio in their own way (TDL does a reverse reverb thing), but they will also play the audio forward. I just love the sound of reversed audio, so I may have had the pedal set to reverse the audio in most of the demo :)

I have a Mood 2 and managed to purchase this today while it was briefly for sale. I have a few other Pladask pedals and while there are some similarities with the Mood, IMO they are different enough to standout on their own.
@pamelaa4010 Жыл бұрын
@@beansharicotsAgreed, this Etterslep is *closer* to a Drolo Strands, perhaps a Red Panda Particle, or a Walus Fable (I have no actual experience with the latter two).... There are some "granular" characteristics to the sounds of the right side of the Mood2, but.... The TDL mode on this Etterslep sounded pretty neat in this demo - very unique sounds.... =) I love finding new sounds....! =D
