Something about watching the numbers of living people dwindle further and further and the thoughts of those last remaining pockets of humanity dying out in horrible pain and sickness makes me shudder. Mentalpatient87 Extra Credits did stuff related to this kind of thing, but dealing with horror games. Basically its that part of your brain that thinks that stuff like this might actually happen or exist. When it comes to real diseases, their only goal is to populate. If that kills or causes harm to the host, that is an unfortunate side effect but never the actual goal. There are more bacteria cells in your body that your own cells, but they don't harm you. In fact many help you. You have microscopic bugs all over you eating oils off of your skin or hair, eating dead skin, or other wastes off of you. Its most beneficial to help the host or at least not harm it, which is why the majority of bacteria and parasites are harmless. When it comes to diseases, it causes harm to you because your cells happen to be their food source or breeding ground. Or when it comes to parasites, you obtain the food for them and spread their reproduction. Its not like they have the consciousness behind it making the goal of the infection/infestation to eventually kill the host. Its just to eat what is edible and pop out babies in what ever way happens to be beneficial to them. Real diseases don't evolve with the end goal of killing everything and killing their hosts. They just adapt to take advantage of their environment in occasionally destructive ways to their environment. If the earth was a living organism, everything living on it would be a parasite of some sort.

Over half of your advice is factually inaccurate. Higher severity gives more dna from red bubbles, a little lethality is not bad early in the game, and transmissions shouldn't be gotten till after you have bought most of the tier one symptoms. First point... *Dark Realm Studios complained on Twitter with IGN reviewer Justin Davis about the Plague, Inc. release, saying that the game was "just an attempt to cash in on Pandemic 2.5"* The original creators are not "fine with it". Not filing a lawsuit =/= fine. Second point, Plague Inc. is little more than an exact clone. This isn't 2 similar games in the same genre like the difference between Resident Evil and Dino Crisis or GTA and Saint's Row... We're talking the same realm of difference here as between Crush the Castle and Angry Birds (another blatant plagiarism), Plague Inc is about as close to a carbon copy as one can get. They took Pandemic II and added a few little things to it, effectively making it Pandemic III, without the consent of the IP owners, and marketed it to make money as their own creation, again without consideration to the original creators. And for those that were fans of the Pandemic series, there was, and still is, a large outcry over Plague Inc. (And one of the big reasons it's more popular is it had a budget for marketing since it didn't have to develop the game, it got almost a month of front page pushing on Steam. Literally all of Pandemic 2.5's money went into development - you can read the developer blog about it)

I agree with you here, its one thing of this game brings something new to the table but really there is no reason to pay for this game when you can just play pandemic for free and have the same experience with less clicking bubbles for no apperent reason. I would say that the mobile version is a microtransaction ridden hell but then again i think the words "mobile version" basically let you know that. And yea it seems more popular than pandemic, im too lazy to look up the numbers but that seems reasonable, yet king has made plenty of ultra popular games like candy crush which is just a microtransaction filled hell ripping off another game with barely any real progress other than enhanced greed. So sales dont neccesarily indicate quality, just financial success, which i guess financial successis the point of a compan but still feels icky to me. Of course thats just my opinion your entitled to your own, there are slight differences in the games and if you consider that enough to make it its own game which costs real money then its your right to say so.
