If you're truly concerned you can try to issue a formal complaint to Google to change policies regarding specific offensive content and communication about said concern. You can contact your local reps or country government as well.They are the ones who make the laws. In the meantime there are multiple organizations that assist children and adults who have been abused or victims of violent crimes and accidents.

The next year or two after, I'd watch a lot of similar content to what Plagued Moth watches (and I used to watch his channel itself), not because I ever laughed at or found levity in any of it, but at the time I thought confronting it would somehow help me heal, in a twisted way. I never saw anything happen with children or animals, but I saw countless awful things happen to adults, both accidentally and intentionally. Being a young adult now who's gotten actual mental treatment and built most of my life back together, I realized how sick it was of me to see stuff like that and think it was doing any good. Just seeking this stuff out once every 3-4 months would leave me in a horribly cynical and unhealthy mindset for days afterward. And as growing up I realized how horribly immoral and disrespectful it was to seek out any of this stuff, and how the victims should only be seen and remembered for their lives and presence among loves ones, not for something gruesome and disgusting inflicted upon them. I understand I was immature and why I sought this stuff out as a teenager, but I still feel guilty for ever having done so. And I don't understand how Moth sees all that I saw and much worse, as well as things I never saw like harm done to children, and he freaking watches that stuff on a daily basis without longggg breaks, and no realization that he should stop. Idk how anyone can be exposed to it so consistently without it destroying their mind, very limited exposure did a lot of harm to impressionable teenage me just for a year-year and a half. I don't know what their home situation is like, but despite the messed up things he's done, I really hope Moth steps away from content creation, gets or continues to get proper treatment for mental health, stops watching these kinds of vids entirely, and just has a calm happy life with his daughter.

Always did like true crime and documentaries, and thought his content somewhat was in that territory. I remember being a bit interested in his videos until I watch the video where he talks about a 17 or 19 girl who died due to a car accident and was dubbed as “Porsche Girl”. The way he kinda basically said how she deserves it for being a brat and she would have killed others due to her reckless behavior (I think she was on drug and just got out of a heated argument with her parents) rubs me the wrong me. Funny how my last video on month is going up a year after this stuff started. I followed Plagued for a few months because- at first, he wasnt AS cruel about the gore videos he reviewed. There was a vid collab with him and ColdRaven where they were laughing over a child who had half her head blown off by a landmine and mocking her father as he cried and while normally Plagued would have had more sympathy, since he was collabing with ColdRaven who was notably less sensjtive he just dove right in and it became very apparent his 'concern' was an act. I unsubbed about 3 weeks before ThatCreepyReading came out with info about him (I had donated to Plagued for his daughter when he asked but then made a video about how his family moved and he had a new studio I was kinda sus about). Real glad I jumped ship when I did.

As someone who has faced addiction to fentanyl... The excuses he makes and the fast constant income being lost immediately causing him to go back to ask for more and the excuses he's making sounds to me like fentanyl or some other very bad drug abuse. It's a pattern of asking for some money, then needing to ask for more and more seemingly the money he gets disappears as soon as he gets it. He seems to not think things though like getting animals he can't afford to take care of. I'm not sure how old the kids are but on average just the basics for one child a year is around $20000. Then plus his wife and the animals an medical bills. I think he's just bad with money and doesn't prioritise things he should like having a stable income to feed his kids and keep his lizard warm. I've been despising this guy since he did a video on the Gabriel Kuhn case and made a joke about his rapist and murderer doing Fortnite dances after killing the kid. Hey guys! I've seen a lot of comments talking about how people used to watch Moth's content and feel like they were stupid for doing so. I just wanted to let you all know that you're not stupid and you aren't bad people for having previously enjoyed his content. He took advantage of the trust and kindness that his viewers gave him in order to exploit them. It's not your fault for assuming the best of someone. Most people, even the ones who cover grisly topics tend to be really nice people so it's completely understandable that people thought Moth was one of them too. Unfortunately, he was only pretending to be to exploit his audience. Again, none of you are bad or stupid people for having enjoyed his content previously, don't worry. Also, there's nothing inherently wrong with you for having a sense of morbid curiosity. The only time it becomes a problem is if it hurts others or yourself. That's why Moth's content is a problem: he's exposed a lot of people to horrific videos and audio and has hurt a ton of people because of that. There are tons of other KZbinrs that tackle this kind of subject matter with respect so if anyone likes that style of content, there are plenty of others to watch. Again, none of you are bad people for liking a youtuber/their work in the past. Only those that actively tried to hurt Moth's detractors and Moth himself are at fault.

It was interesting to learn about the darkest parts of the internet, but I didn’t realize that he had actually watched most of the stuff (and actually had access to Daisy’s destruction?!! Yeah. I used to side with PlagueMoth when ThatCreepyReading got accused to the point where I unsubscribed from him. Not long after PM's channel got terminated and show his true color after learning more about the controversies, I'm glad that I have to take that back and I'm on TCR's side, regardless of the faults that almost ruined his reputation (all that because some kid from PM's fanbase admitted his age after TCR asked him questions about PM, which TCR realized that he got baited that the kid made a tattletale for PM. This shows that sharing your personal info to strangers is such a bad idea and kids like him shouldn't have to be there unsupervised). The fact that Turkey Tom, of all people, sided with Plague Moth and everyone agreed with him isn't surprising. The turkey really fell off since the Pyrocynical controversy.

So ashamed that i ever watched his content. It nauseated me, and his attitude gave me an awful vibe, but i was at such a low point, it reminded me how scared i was to die. It was the only way i could completely squash the su*c*dal ideations i was coping with after being r*ped by a family member. It also reminded me that in retrospect, i could have had it so much worse (which is an insane way to go about it i know.) I was genuinely sick in the head and after i got into therapy, it really hit just how low i was to be consuming that content and low sick he has to be, to be consuming that content uncensored all the time. Gore content should not be normalized and these videos should not be so easy to access, pass around, or lock behind a paywall. People are dead. Families are traumatized. Why the FUCK have we decided to treat that kind of real life impact as entertainment?? Its insane and i cant believe i was ever part of it.

My very few encounters with Plagued Moth was on account of one of his videos having a pretty intriguing thumbnail. I watched his video on World Corp and I couldn't help but feel like I was watching one of those kids with little to no social etiquette get through a story in an attempt to seem cool. Or simply Cool-ER than he actually is. By happenstance one of his vids ended with PM ditching the cool guy personna in order to tell his fans that his daughter had recently been diagnosed with diabetes. Since his whole demeanor went from a sort of dead pan voice over describing blood and guts to a cracked higher pitched lament I realized I was watching the real version of PM. While he spoke of his plans to make sure he and his wife did everything suggested by doctors in order for their child to have a normal upbringing I became a bit sad for him. Clearly he cared so much for his young daughter and the mere thought of her suffering seriously brought tears to his eyes which is why I couldn't help but acknowledge the double standard. For this guy to tell his story right after narrating a Mexican cartel member assassination video it just seemed paradoxical... Some people like to present themselves like they're made of stone in order to seem like they're above other people who mostly live by their emotions. I have found people like that to be incredibly dull and boring. When someone is genuine they don't hide behind facades. The coolest people I've ever known were those who openly expressed themselves and were able to be vulnerable in front of others, especially their friends.❤

No. The live stream was from 5 years ago. I changed my opinion on it actually being bad despite my lack of understanding. I said a dumb ass thing on a stream that itself was a shit show, over an hour into said stream, and then changed my opinion based on what others told me. This is less of an case of me being into/defending loli and more me playing devils advocate for something I did not understand in a setting where almost no one saw it, where I was immediately informed/corrected. The 99 stomps video was the first video of his I noped out of. When he started counting and made a joke about the sensitive people in the comments I knew this wasn't for me. I followed him for a while after and watched his vids but again noped out of the vid with the dog (Old 87 or whatever it was called). When he started covering the Chinese cat torture videos I unsubscribed completely. I had no idea what was already going on behind the scenes. He and his wife are terrible people. 26:10 Agreed. I struggle a lot with mental health, but I am also an aquarist. When I turned 18, I stopped taking my meds. A lot of my fish died. Instead of getting new animals, I decided to shut down some tanks and focus on the ones I have left. Things happen, but when you become aware or if you are aware, then fix it. I get super ashamed thinking about how much I have fucked up with my animals, but I'm getting better and I'm back on meds. I've put off new animals until am sure I can take care of more and have everyone settled. Things do happen, but you have to work to fix the issues and do what's best for your pets

100%. I'm really sorry that that happened, but I'm happy things are looking up for you and your pets. A family friend of mine had a stroke and realised after a while that she was unable to look after her pets. She gave them to me, and visited them frequently. She was able to recover to a degree after a few years, and resume care of her beloved animals. It was really tough for her to give them up, and I can't imagine what it would be like for me in her or your situation. My animals are my life. But for that reason, you have to make really difficult decisions sometimes, and that could mean handing over care or dramatically downsizing.

I’ve watched moth out of morbid curiosity but I’ve never actually seen gore videos unless it’s been accidental (I saw a psa video on correct ways to use gym equipment on Facebook, the guy wasn’t able to squat the weight and I can’t remember if he had a spotter or if the spotter knew what he was doing, the guy’s neck snapped and I was not expecting it! I was shocked!) It is a huuugggee red flag to want to see gore videos. Learning about them is one thing, kind of like watching murder documentaries. But searching to watch them is entirely different. I don’t want to see someone die, the person doesn’t deserve it. It’s terrible enough that they died, let alone that the video is online for millions to see.
