The Vaush Files Exposed: What Really Happened
Vaush is a political streamer known for his hot takes for his side of the political spectrum. While I don’t really keep up with any political streamers online due to a lack of interest, he had a recent accident on stream that blew up into a much bigger issue. If you thought Vaush being a man with hot takes was controversial, just wait for what we’re about to go through, cause what we’re about to see puts everything he’s said in a much different light now.
Thank you for watching The Vaush Files Exposed: Worse Than We Thought! I appreciate any support! Remember to like, comment, subscribe, and turn on that bell notification when you do!

Agreed, but this isn’t a good argument against CP. The much better argument is that CP commits two sins. Not only is (significantly worse) abuse required to create it, its only purpose is to facilitate morally reprehensible fantasies _of_ that very abuse.
@pencilpauli9442
@pencilpauli9442 4 ай бұрын
Well yes. But the fact is that capitalism DOES involve exploitation and harm of children. Vaush is correct in equating slavery and exploitation in the production of consumer goods with CP. They are both morally reprehensible outcomes of the capitalist system. To say that slavery is not as bad as CP as Lanza said is quite remarkable to me. It brushes the problem of how our goods are produced under the rug. Out of sight out of mind. To dismiss the exploitation and suffering of people including children in developing countries in such a blasé manner, as Lanza did is quite frankly disgusting. But it's dark skinned kids in a mine ,some place far away, so that's okay. But some doe eyed white child, heaven forfend they be exploited. It could be your own child! Shining a light on the hypocrisy of capitalism, neo-colonialism and child labour in electronic goods is a fair critique of the double standards of our society. Before you accuse me of anything, I have serious problems with Vaush's defence of the consumption of CP. It's a very libertarian take on the issue, and he goes beyond legitimate social commentary, imho.
@pencilpauli9442
@pencilpauli9442 4 ай бұрын
My original response seems to have disappeared. I'll try to give the TLDR While you are correct, we live in a world that is driven by capitalism, neo-liberalism and neo-colonialism. I kind of agree with Vaush, in that there are double standards at play. A key factor is that if you buy electronic goods that have been mined with exploited labour, child or otherwise, the suffering is not apparent. CP on the other hand presents the victim of exploitation, and that makes us confront the morality directly. That may even include those who consume such media. IMHO Vaush's defence of the consumption of CP is problematic. His argument borders on a "whataboutism", and is too dismissive of people's reactions.

@@wastedproductions45It fuels the sexual fantasies of pedophiles. Pedophilia is a form of paraphilia which, as a parent-category of disorders, share a common symptom of hypersexuality. I.e, they’re extremely sexually obsessed, and obsessed with whatever their particular predilection/fetishised is. When pedos view child abuse material, be it drawn or of a real child, they’re actively fuelling those sexual desires. We already know that in adults who become addicted or obsessed with adult pornography, they’re far more likely to develop unhealthy sexual interests and predatory sexual behaviours towards other adults. The risk factor is even higher when it comes to CP because children are even more vulnerable.

His whole child labor argument is so bogus. Just because you have a shirt that is made through child labor (horrible as it is) it is still just a shirt for the purpose of being worn. Having child porn is for the sole purpose of getting off to the abuse of the child, not to mention that being inherent I the product itself.
@trentroberts6736
@trentroberts6736 4 ай бұрын
Another thing that should be added is that whether or not a shirt is made without the abuse of a human being the end product will still be a shirt. And, yes as you rightly pointed out, the product of the latter will always be the abuse. The fact that so many people buy into such a deep abuse of logic is beyond me.

I would argue child [redacted] is worse than child labor not because it's vaguely more "gross," but because it's much more personal, able to be traced to the individual in the photos/videos/etc., which will follow them for life. Very likely the child is isolated and abused constantly outside of that; a child in slave labor is more likely to have some sort of friends/family (although trafficking in that regard can still happen). Slavery is absolutely horrible, and both are intensely physically + emotionally taxing, but there are solid reasons that [redacted] is not quite comparable. Enjoying the abuse because of the abuse, rather than obliviously enjoying a hidden blood labor product, is a... thick extra layer to that problem.

Yeaaaa thats why I had to stop watching this video, the only thing more infuriating than listening to a dude “play devils advocate” by defending CP… is listening to another dude make weak & lazy rebuttals that could easily be dismissed or twisted. “It’s more gross” is such a shit argument, if this was a live debate vaush would’ve had a field day with it. It’s appeal to ethos, it’s a logical fallacy, it can be applied to anything if you stretch it far enough- and that’s exactly what debate bros like him do, they take your arguments and stretch them to the farthest extreme to see if you’ll double down or backpedal. This video is exactly the kinda response vaush & dudes likes him thrive off of, they _want_ their opposition to make flawed points so they can epically own & destroy ultracuck whatever fuckin clickbait buzzwords they use. They don’t wanna discussion, they wanna fight, and win. This was a much better argument, and pretty much what I was thinking when I got to that part in the video. Not to shit on op, if anything I hope you enjoyed the video more than I did, but god I wish they made better arguments than just “it’s gross.” That’s what happens when you don’t ask yourself “Why?” enough.

have you known a lot of kids in malaysian slums working their fingers to blister and bone to produce off brand poppy's playtime merch for TEMU? i don't think their lives are quite as cheery as you seem to think they are. if we can only determine the morality of the production of something by what the intended use is, that kind of completely oversteps any moral dilemma of the production of that thing. you could easily make the argument child slavery is *worse* than CP because instead of abusing a single individual child or group of children, child slavery consumes entire towns, cities, and generations of people with indefinite abuse. you could argue it's much worse because the choice to buy a product that was produced with child slavery is essentially confirming that the 3 dollars you paid for a shirt on TEMU or whatever is exactly what that child's life and labor are worth, because you more than likely don't even need that product. the production of CP is a self-contained issue with murky solutions that more or less boil down to harm reduction and intense scrutiny. child slavery could be solved by economic reform.

The most disgusting part for me was when he started saying "YOU support the mining of diamonds by child slaves and YOU support the child labor factories fhat make clothes" to deflect from someone saying that hes defending csa material. And continued to stand in that position for years. Many things we have are produced by factories that have child labor, and nobody feels giddy about it. The shoes I have to wear for work and the blankets that keep me warm and my hobbies that bring me joy more often than not were brought to me from factories. But I don't have the money or resources to create my own synthetic fabric or have animals to make leather and wool clothes or have easy access to pigments to make my own paints or grow my own cotton to make stuffed animals. Our society relies on that labor because many of us dont have the time or energy to make a dent in the mark we've left thru consumerism. Even though many of us would like to. Our society doesnt depend on csa material to run and boost our economy. Its disgusting to see a man be faced with his own immorality and try to hold up a mirror saying that unwilling participation in tragedy is hypocrisy and we are no better than him. Vile.

absolutely. regardless of age, abusive people tend to take advantage of those with mental illness/disabilities because even though they may be legal, young people with disabilities and mental illness are easier to manipulate due to many having low self esteem issues or being bullied. it is harder to stick up for yourself if you do not have a solid sense of self worth. he took advantage of her. (this goes for anyone regardless of how much of an impact their disability has on their life. i am also autistic as well and even though i am able to keep a job and live independently, i have communication struggles and sensory discomforts and other challenges in my daily life that make me feel alienated from others.) unfortunately, i was even in a similar situation with a highschool boy when i was in middle school in which he ended up saying something along the same lines... just because a relationship is legal doesn't mean it cant be abusive or manipulative. i definitely think it's not too unlikely that vaush enjoyed the power imbalance. psychologically, sexual deviants are generally motivated by a desire of power rather than attraction or love, and seeing how open he is about being attracted to depictions of animals or children, it's safe to say that he's a power-crazed lunatic.

There was a case in China where children were tricked into being assaulted in exchange for tuition money to go to school. The sex traffickers would pocket most of the money they made but gave a tiny bit to the children for tuition. When the sex trafficking ring was taken down and the scum running it were prosecuted for their crimes many of the victims were furious with the people who had saved them. The victims had put up with this abuse for YEARS so they could go to school and then it was all for nothing. They had to go back to their tiny impoverished villages and have no hope for a better future and suffer all the trauma they went through with no professional help. The fact that the victims were upset doesn't mean those people shouldn't rot in prison. It's evil that shit happened to those kids and it's evil that the government didn't do something to make sure those kids could safely keep going to school. When Vaush said that there could hypothetically be a scenario where a child benefits from being sexually assaulted by an adult, I think he was talking about something like what I just described. *He still shouldn't have said it and it still makes me fucking sick to think about ever watching Vaush's content again.*

So these women are making a living so that when they get out they don't have to go back into crime to get by, and it also gives them valuable skills to get hired elsewhere or start their own business. How do you not understand the comparison? Youre just choosing to be stupid here. A child gets abused for cheese pizza, thats awful, but atleast eventually it will end. Slavery is a life time sentence, and includes sexual abuse among forced labor and torture. So your argument here is Slavery which includes child R as well as being tortured and beaten and worked to the bone at the risk of death if you dont comply is somehow not as bad as cheese pizza, which is included in slavery anyway. Good argument.

The pictures and videos that were produced get sold and distributed throughout the years and continue to victimize and profit off of the child throughout their life. There are adults who are haunted knowing their pictures are out there being spread and viewed. That *never* ends. And the argument, Cp = slave *labor*, is just that, You can't add on sexual abuse just to make your claim better. Not every enslaved child goes through sexual abuse. I don't doubt that it happens, but for CP, the abuse *IS* the product. You buying a shirt doesn't mean you get a kick out of the possibility that some poor child made it.

The argument that I've most often heard (I don't get why people do it either) is that when you have... eccentric tastes, you can have difficulty finding pieces a second time because they might only exist on a single site where if they are deleted they are gone. So, they save them because they don't know if they could find the piece again. Let’s keep the momentum going, our philosophy (our general pro-good and anti-bad views) is gaining traction and momentum.

Damn that child labor argument is just... despicable. "Child labor exists in both, so both bad!" Well, in one the literal commodity being bought and sold is the child harm! A necklace inherently is not bad - child exploitation is. I remember a lecture in my World Bank course in college that it's a legitimate argument in third world countries that sometimes the kid has to work due to the dynamics of the familial and social structures. Even if capitalism didn't exist in its current state, poorer families in some part of the world would still experience the issue of child labor. Never ever ever ever are we talking about the benefits of those children engaging in horrific acts. There's a CLEAR difference - Jesus.

Vaush is an anomaly to me. Like Moth he truly is the hypocritical agent of his own destruction, but when Moth got big he got critics on him near immediately. Meanwhile when Vaush got big, to me, it felt like everyone waited to critique him. I feel like everyone waited until it was “safe,” and picked the least of the problems with him as the green light. To me, the loli problem is probably the least big of his issues… well, is what I would say, if it weren’t for the fact that Vaush himself said that loli is CP. However, while I am mad that people are only going after him now, I can’t deny the feeling of schadenfreude from seeing this degenerate finally fall. Edit: Jeez I didn’t even know about the part about him justifying the horse porn because “It’s drawn- no wait it’s AI generated.” Again, he doesn’t think the same about lolicon so WHY WAS IT ON YOUR COMPUTER, YOU HEATHEN!
