I've had his book on my shelf for about 3 years but life happens so didn't get a chance to read it until last weekend. No other book has made such an impact on me. No other book truly helped with kids like mine. I cried tears of joy and gratitude through the first few chapters. Thank you Dr. Greene! I wish I would have had your book 10 years ago!

Love it. My relationship and the Harmony in our home has improved soo much bjust with taking on Dr Greene's mindset that kids do well if they can! I think he is right on with how I treat my challenging son. It seems so easy, but I do try to rush it and think I know what the kids reasons are. And it's seems so easy to just tell them the consequences, but I really feel this is a much better way!! So I will keep working on getting better at it!! Thank you.

"I wonder why so many adults are concerned with having thier concerns blown off the table?" Adults are concerned with:1.Safety, 2. learning, 3. how your behavior affects themselves or others. Adults can use : Empathy, waiting, listening, gathering information, raising concerns; both yours and the child's, to ally and find collaborative problem solving steps. This should be used to deal with so many more of our concerns with other adults.

I wish that was the case but no, that's not what adults are concerned with in all cases.

What if the child has difficulty verbalizing their concern? If They can’t talk or describe it why they are anxious or doing something?

Kids are 1000% concerned about having their concerns ignored!

Ross Greene shows an excessive pride in himself or his "achievements" as demonstrated by his demeanor. This is the definition of smug.
