Excellent Video, Immensely Peaceful. I had a dog (beagle) once myself & I let him roam free when climbing the foothills of North Georgia, USA. I lost poor Levi so I got very emotional when I heard of what happened to Cam. So glad he/she is okay now.

I am sorry you and beautiful spaniel had a traumatic experience at the hands of people and their out of control and untrained dogs. These people make me sick Very recently my father who is in his 80s.was walking his little dog and was attacked by an out of control staffie. His dog suffered bites and so did he has he tried to protect his dog. I am glad you are both ok and are beginning to enjoy once more the natural wonder that is the lake district. I love that you don't post so frequently, but I am really sorry to hear that chronic pain may be at least part of the reason. I can relate, as I have a rare condition called XLH (X-linked hypophosphatemia). I'm a lecturer in Geography, and I teach all of our first-year students in the Lake District at Bowscale Tarn every year, so I can relate to how important getting out in nature is...even if it is rarer than we would perhaps like. I feel like your videos always seem to arrive at exactly the right time. I have felt terrible for a couple of weeks, and it's amazing how much this video has reset my priorities. Thank you :)

I do understand your pain, many years ago I broke my back and tore a bunch of muscles and damaged nerves. I have been living in constant pain since. It took me a while to be able to get out and start doing things again. And tomorrow I'm going on my first solo hike in camp in many, many years. May even post it at some point.

Hi Chloe Please be careful when burning candles or having fires in closed spaces. The pm2.5s they build up can be at concentrations many times that of a busy roadside. Use a high capacity air purifier that removes them and smaller particles. Or better get electric copies. They can aggravate chronic inflammatory disease and stay in the body for as long as three months.

Love the Lake District had summer hols there this year it has similar weather to us in scotland always raining 😂 plan to return soon. I was told to get into nature more as well reduce stress and improve circulation did contemplate open water swimmer . But Ive had raynaud's since young but got worse since I hit my 50's and developing rheumatoid arthritis because of it now. So I appreciate how you feel that some days are hard. Love the video though great escapism

Haha yes that doesn't surprise me, I think we're the wettest place in the country 😅 Sorry to hear of your health complications. I imagine the cold water would be counterproductive for your Raynaud's? Hopefully you can wrap up nice and walk and enjoy the walking nonetheless. For hiking, I always wear proper outdoor mittens instead of gloves as my hands get very cold and slow going into winter and I find mittens help to keep my hands so much warmer. Enjoy your wanders 😊

Springers are such amazing companions ive had two and theyve both been amazing dogs. That was a great 14 minutes. Dogs are one of mankind's greatest blessings. Sorry to hear about your inflammatory issues. I too suffer. Vegetable seed oils, rapeseed and sunflower can contribute, and they are in so many foods. . Worth a little research. Olive oil, butter and lard/dripping were what our ancestors ate. Covid interventions have also caused issues. I wish you well. Your grounding is admirable.

Afternoon, I have never watched Lord of the Rings, but I have been to Vancouver, only to stop of on the way to British Columbia Salt Spring island, if you like the Lake District, you would love landing in Ganges on a sea plane, with its tranquil lifestyle, and Golden Eagles, making our birds of prey look like sparrows, me coming back Power Program thanks to Dr Michael Colgan. Sorry to hear your have inflammation but as Tracy says don't let your treats become your treatment, I have just ate a pressure cooker full of lentils full garlic and veg, but I am partial to a pizza from time to time. Myself once the cold came I was soon back on to askmygp who later telephoned me telling me to stop walking, thanks to lad little bast^%$# driving a three and half ton Asda Food Delivery van into me on an angle, not hitting his brakes, whilst using a mobile, when the cold came it wasnt so the neck pain, it had felt as though I had a hip replacement. So I know how you feel, me on the slow path to recovery. Best of health Peter and lucky the Boxer dog woof woof

Beautiful area, lovely autumn colours. Sorry your doggie got attacked 😢 I usually see up to 12 dogs each walk I do out of about 30 I know well. All lovely well behaved but very occasionally I've come into contact with aggressive dogs off lead and my experience is that they are usually smaller ones. Ii carry a small but high Lumen (4000 Lumen Nitecore) which I can quickly switch to strobe. Not only good for deterring human attacks but dogs too. It doesn't have to be an expensive torch and I bet you probably own one anyway. The important thing is to keep it easily accessible and know how to switch the strobe mode on. In 5+ years I've only used a strobe twice. I hope it's a long time, if ever, before you have another experience like that.

Hello Chole how Ironic that you’re watching the Lord of the Rings, every time I see your videos I get that vibe, that I’m watching the Lord of the Rings. I’m sorry to hear about your condition, being I’m type 2 diabetic for almost 20 years and on insulin the last 7 years, I have good days and bad days. Living with a condition is hard but it’s doable, the key is proper nutrition, exercise and rest and stress relief is key because inflammation and stress go hand and hand. Your videos bring calmness because we get to walk that trail or climb the hills with you🤗 so sorry to hear about Cam’s ordeal but he’s in his element when you’re both in the wild. Take care Chole and hope your able to deal with your health, and my Parson Russell Terrier would lose his mind if he was running around in the woods like Cam does😉 he does have English blood given that the Reverend John Russell introduced the Jack Russell Terrier in England😉

Thank you 😊 Sorry to hear of your long covid, glad you have been finding some relief by cold water swimming. It's the All Weather Puffer Changing Robe by Vivida in size M. They have a sizing guide to look at but for reference, I'm 5ft 8" so that's M (5ft 4" - 5ft 9"). If you wanted to wear as a coat rather than a changing robe, then they recommend sizing down.

Hi Chloe, sorry to hear of your chronic inflammatory disorder. I'm fighting back from long covid so appreciate such struggles. The tarn in this video reminds me of Tarn Hows, very brave if it was as the lake is full of leaches. Sorry also to hear of your canine experience. I got attached by a bulldog when I was 3 so I have a deep seated fear that some dogs seem to pick up on, guess I'm stuck with that. I wonder if JRR even enjoyed pizzas? Cheers Graham

Sorry to hear that, on both the long covid and dog fear front. I used to have chronic fatigue which I think is a lot like long covid, so emphasise. It's not Tarn Hows, didn't realise there were leeches there but haven't swam there before. Thanks for coming along 🌲😊

Cool video good to see you back hope everything is well sorry to hear about the inflammation there's a lot of people and a lot of places that's got all kinds of stuff I deal with it in my family too it can be a real pain sometimes but just hang in there you're bring a smile to a lot of people's faces by making these videos but something that could possibly help you and I'm not joking I know this for a fact try taking some Green tea cr the crescent stands for curcumin and resveratrol I tried it a couple years ago it made me feel better than I knew that I could have felt also you might can try those copper fit things that they go on your knees your wrist they make gloves ankle braces whatever you need I'm sure that will help you

Thanks Matt! Yes, I've had/tried both curcumin and resveratrol. I have had a very anti inflammatory diet in the past for chronic fatigue which did help greatly.

That must have been pretty traumatic for both of you but thankfully you both seem to be handling it well. Have you considered a low carb diet and avoiding certain foods that are known to cause inflammation because they contain lectins such as tomatoes and peppers . My grandfather was Maltese and he used to peel tomatoes and deseed them and he told me they were poisonous and for years i always thought that was peculiar but it turns out that he was correct after all. I know a lot about how to control inflammation because i have suffered myself but before i go into further detail i will leave it at that in case i am teaching you to suck eggs as they say. ATB

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. My mum is a holistic healthcare practitioner so thankfully I have grown up with knowledge on things like this. I had post viral fatigue for a number of years with quite severe symptoms which resulted in a deep dive into many areas including nutrition. I ended up studying integrative nutritional coaching too as it's such an interesting topic. I did have a very restricted diet for a number of years (including nightshades) which did help in with certain areas but not with the extreme pain episodes. I am more relaxed with food these days as I no longer have the post viral fatigue (hence the pizza haha) but still eat well 😊 Appreciate you taking the time to check in on that and share your experience.
