I am absolutely in love with those spreads which are inspired by spring or just nature in general. They always bring out the calmness whenever you work on it. This video really brought out that calmness of the spread with the colours gold and green. Love you spreads so much. They are always a great inspiration for me.

I really love the double circles (or other shapes) combined with the splatter! It made me think of coffee rings, and the the little gold drops really added to that look for me! The olive tone of the leaves also ended up giving this glittery but homey vibe. So lovely! I don't have gold paint but I still think I need to give this a try

Here's a technique to try on a sample next time have your watercolors out. When you have too much pigment in an area... dab it off with a dry paper towel. If the area is already dry, rehydrate by working a little water into the area with your brush. 💜🌞🌵
@PlantBasedBride4 жыл бұрын
I do that all the time! The problem is that while my paper handles watercolour quite well, it’s still not watercolour paper and wouldn’t be able to handle the amount of water I’d need to lift the pigment ☺️

I love when you combine watercolour painting and journalling! Ive always wanted to try it myself but I'm afraid that the pages of my journal (I used a leuchtturm) will be too thin and itll bleed/tear the pages because the pages are a lot thinner than Archer & Olive and some other types of journals ): Also, at this point I might as well just give in to rolling with gold themes every month, because you're fulling converting me and I need to go buy some gold pens right this second.
@PlantBasedBride4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Haha I’m sorry for forcing gold on you... I just can’t let it go! 😂 I’ve seen some people manage watercolour in Leuchtturm journals but I’ve never had one so I can’t confirm/give any tips unfortunately!
@Multipastasalad4 жыл бұрын
Cas Stonehouse Fellow Leuchtturm user here! They actually hold watercolor fairly well, but you do have to be wary about using too much water. I’ve never had any issues with tearing, definitely get a little bleed through if you’re not careful, and they do tend to warp a bit with water. What I typically do is do all my water coloring, let it dry, and let my journal sit under a heavy book at least overnight to try and combat some of the warping. Hope this helps!
