You have educated me more in mathematics and physics than every teacher I have had combined, from the ninth grade to a bachelor's degree in engineering. Despite my degree, there are concepts I did not understand at a "gut level" until I saw your videos.

About the quantum of light 1- In the 19th century, much attention was paid to the study of the thermal properties of various objects. The idealized model that was considered was the Black Body. (Max von Laue called the black body the “Kirchhoff vacuum.” It was also called the “ultraviolet catastrophe”; the first signs of the “vacuum catastrophe”) 2- In 1900, Max Planck solved the “black body” problem by discovering the “quantum of action of light - h”. Particle (h) is not a hot particle emitted by stars. Particle (h) came from the vacuum, from the cosmic vacuum. 3- Einstein's second postulate states: In a vacuum, light propagates at a constant speed (c), which does not depend on the speed and radiation of the source or observer. 4. According to SRT, a quantum of light is not a solid particle. 5- According to quantum physics, a quantum of light has its own internal “spin” (linear or angular). 6- Light is an independent and free quantum particle. Its movement does not depend on the speed of the source or the observer. The actions of light do not depend on the opinions of physicists. # "All these fifty years of conscious brooding have brought me no nearer to the answer to the question "What are light quanta?". Nowadays every Tom, Dick, and Harry thinks he knows it, but he is mistaken." /Albert Einstein/

Where does unit (h) come from? To solve the blackbody problem, Max Planck introduced the quantum unit (h ), (h=Et ). The element (h) did not exist in physics before. The unit (h) does not come from formulas or equations. Planck introduced h-unit from the "heaven". Planck introduced the unit (h) intuitively, phenomenologically. Planck introduced the quantum of action "without recourse to explanations, metaphysical assumptions and traditional philosophical questions". For many years, Planck tried to find a rational (classical) explanation for his h-unit, but without success. We don't know where the unit (h) came from

planks theory tells us that light is in the form of smol packets of energy which are photons. And the energy of photon is directly proportional to frequency so to equate it to frequency we put a constant called planks constant (h)

Hi JG! my name is Nicole. There is something I did not quite understand about the photon. From what I understood it’s a energy carrier. But is it already present before the electrons start oscillating from one energy level to another or is it formed as the electrons oscillate from one energy level to another as for during their oscillation you mentioned that they absorb or emit some kind of energy? Thank you! 😊

Even though n and h are constants, can’t frequency take any value? You imply that multiplying a continuous variable by a constant makes the result limited to a set of values, no?

IF YOU PUT THE FORMULA ASIDE, THEN WHAT IS THE INTUITIVE reason BEHIND the math so one can SEE the intensity going down on higher frequencies, I mean conceptually?

n is an example of using math to prove something. that isn't what math is for. math is for approximating measurements. just remembering parts of equations doesn't mean you actually understand how something works. and these equatioms are half truths. If part of the equation is so small that it's useless in measurement they chop it off the equation.
