Plane makes emergency landing in Columbia River

A small aircraft headed to the Troutdale Airport experienced an emergency water landing in the Columbia River Monday afternoon.
The Camas-Washougal Fire Department told KATU News that the plane went down near Gary Island, about two miles east of the airport.

aircraft engines like lycoming, rotax, etc. I don't know why they suck so bad, but they do. You ever hear of a 3 liter Lexus engine just stop running all of a sudden? NO. They NEVER do that. I don't know if the reason is that they were built for performance over reliability but give me the Toyota engine any day of the week. Screw air cooling. Install a small radiator and vent it well.
