So when describing movement, is it always described FROM the anatomical position? For example, if something is lying down to perform a bench press, you would describe the position assuming they're in anatomical? Even though they're lying horizontally, the bench press would in the transverse plane?

Seated row, barbell bent over rows are transverse plan exercises.

Depends on whether your elbows are by your side or level with your shoulders. By your sides = sagittal, level with your shoulders = transverse. Dr. B2
