Absolutely beautiful. I had a brother in law (sadly RIP) who lived in one of the "white villages" in the hills above Malaga. We really loved the area - the food, the climate, the people. You need to get away from the Costa to see the real Spain. Thanks for showing us around. I must return for another visit, and your video, as always, has inspired me. Thanks a lot Scott.

Hi Scott, I am so proud you liked my country! I am from Navarre, you should visit the north of Spain too, yet it is true that there is nothing like the light of Valencia, lovely footage! Personally I had a similar attraction for the dimmer yet beautiful light on the heathers and hills precisely when I took the early morning coach in your homeland from Glasgow to Fort William, seeing Loch Lomond, Glencoe, Ballachulish, Loch Lihnne for the first time really struck me and made me love Scotland (I spent a year in Fife afterwards!). I guess we're all attracted to what we find different from our homes. I travelled a lot on the local buses and trains every weekend, I also loved the regional buses in Fife (St Andrews to Craill, Anstruther and Elie was personally my fav day trip, grabbing some fish and chips or a good Arbroath Smokie on the way!) Thanks for all! Love travelling with your videos

Absolutely stunning. You're so right. It's very similar to many parts of Italy, where I've been living for many years. I've been lucky to have visited nearly every region of Italy and I'm sure you'd fall in love with it too. The life-style, food, culture and people are amazing, not forgetting the weather. I've already been to Barcelona and am hoping to visit the south of Spain and Portugal next year.

I lived in Valencia for a year in the early 90s teaching english. Loved every minute. There are parts of Spain which are so different to the rest of Europe that you feel you could be anywhere on the planet. Try the beatiful old town of Cadiz (Golden Eye was filmed here as it is so similar to Havana) and the nearby mountain village of Medina Sedonia. You will love it there.

The end of march I visited Spain. Did the classic Andalusia round trip : Sevilla-Granada-Cordoba. In Sevilla it was a very pleasant 24 celcius while back home it was still snowing. At the end of a long day of sight seeing I just put my feet up in a park in the grass, had some empanada's and a bottle of wine. There happened to be orange trees all around in that park and some oranges had fallen off on the ground, overripe and burst open. This filled the air with this amazing orangy aroma and as the wine was beginning to do its job I thought... yeah... I get it!

For me it has to be Mediterranean France. I’m sure you are probably already aware that Ryanair are flying from Prestwick to Marseille this year. A great city, typical port, it’s a bit rough round the edges and well worth a visit if you’ve never been. Inland you have many beautiful cities such as Avignon, Arles and Aix en Provence that you can get lost in for a day. I think you would enjoy.

Hi Scott from Spain. Yes we live here but a little further west from where you are, we're in the Province of Jaén, the world's largest producer of extra virgin olive oil (that's the real stuff, not just labelled as such to get a higher price!) What do we like about Spain? It is quieter and less hurried than life was in UK and probably safer.

I had the privilege and pleasure of living and working in Malaga for 6 years at the beginning of this century. Apart from good weather most of the time, less expensive living costs, better roads and transportation and a much better diet at affordable rates it also possessed a much more relaxed and less stressful ambience. I’m afraid I still think of it as home much more than I did UK whilst I was there. Of course, there weren’t the Brexit problems then. I despise those politicians who have denied those opportunities to my children and grand-children. Incidentally, how come Spanish (and Portuguese) railway stations have walls of frescoes and tiles whilst British terminals have dirt and graffiti-covered brick?
